I don't think there's anything wrong with an affectionate parody. The issue with TTG isn't that it's a comedy, the issue is it's made by people who never watched the original, seem to have a distain for the fan based and work under a strange ideology that cartoons are for children and this do not need extensive effort. There's a huge lack of respect. This just seems like a parody of the show that plays up their traits and shifts around others.

Pony life does feel like it has love in it. I’ve not watched the original teen titans but TTG seems very bitter at its own existence and the original show. I’d prefer to let my kids watch pony life over TTG cuz of this.

As someone who approached this series with no small amount of trepidation, I found myself pleasantly surprised by it. While the first episode is nothing to write home about, the other episodes that have aired to date make me want to keep watching it. They made them cartoon characters instead of fullrounded 3 dimensional characters they basically took away things like, the negative traits of the personality like fluttershy's real levels of shyness or the seriousness of twi and Applejack. (Just to give exsapels) so they made them less "human-charaters and more cartoon-charaters" So for making it a more funny/silly to fit the style of the serie they succeed, a more cartoon verson of the characters, but same charaters non-theless^^ if able to see past they are missing the (human part) Fun show, well made for that it is supposed to be 👍 but the original is still best in my heart. Having watched more of the episodes, I can say that this doesn't seem to have fallen into the TTG trap. These are still the mane six we know and love, some getting fun little extra traits like Pinkie's confetti emotions or Flutter Shy changing size to reflect her mood. There's definitely a bigger focus on fun, but not at the expense of the core characters or continuity.

I don't know. I feel like this is TTG's shtick done right. See the thing with TTG is for me is that while it can be accepted as it's own thing it does have its fair share of problems. Not being to accept criticism, stereotyping all the haters which is something the show has refused to evolve from, to the humor being cringe worthy. There's just something about it i don't like but whenever the show does something different from it's usual shtick it can be good. The Night Begins To Shine, TTG Go To The Movies, etc. are all examples of how the show can be good, but it's rarely ever seen.

I'm going to treat Pony Life the same way I treated FiM: like a salad bar. Take what I like, leave what I don't. Silver Quill, PL appears to focus much more on blunt style than consistent characterization. Analyzing it with the same measuring sticks you used for FiM is going to be a lost endeavor. Fortunately, each episode still has the central pillar of FiM: a friendship lesson. I'll be interested to see how you evaluate its execution.

as someone who (despite the hate for it) like teen titans go for what its supose to be and the good episodes it has and the type of comedy its going for i like pony life. its meant to be a simpler more cartoonish style of story telling with less depth and made more for comedy, recognition for FIM fans, and just simply goofy funny cuteness. its not meant to replace FIM for what it was, but simply be a thing for it's fans to watch just for fun, and be mindless entertainment and to those who hate this idea of producing mindless entertainment, you've probly not been on youtube that long because the majority of us youtube "veterains" (not that i want to call us that) are use to mindless entertainment. this is just more pg (no charlies or carls here xD)its the same model basically. a series thats just fun for the sake of fun. if you still dont like this though that is absolutely fine, its not for everyone, to each their own.

5:16 this actually brings up one of the very few real nitpicks I had with the episode when I first saw it. I do understand that Pony Life isn't meant to have the characters being too serious, but... am I the only one who was staring both dumbfounded and annoyed at Twilight when she suggested they'd have to EAT themselves free and then later at the chubby part? Her part of the intro is LITERALLY her doing science to show she's "the smart one"... yet apparently somehow forgot about the HORN ON HER OWN HEAD! She literally could've teleported them all out of the dough. Problem solved and they'd have gone to the audition with her. Regardless, my full opinion of Pony Life? It's definitely enjoyable. I mean, I doubt I'll be as determined to watch each new one as I was with FiM, but I don't see myself NOT enjoying an episode here or there
