Ian was a beast! Started at 1pm in the afternoon and raged all night and all through the next day and didn't stop until 1 am the next morning. We experienced barametiric pressures that made us dizzy, our ears plugged like when flying on an airplane and the sounds of the wind...heard things screaming, screaching, howling, the highest pitched whistling...it was an ordeal but we're TarpOn Strong Btw: if one told fema, they could live in there house still...(despite damage without an inspection) were denied

When an insurance adjuster comes out. Assesses the damage you have him do that report right there in front of you and you get a copy of it before he even submits it those are your rights. Insurance companies take your time and your time. Therefore you make that insurance adjuster write up that claim of what he's going to submit right then and there. He is no different than a contractor coming out to give you a bid for a job. If it's mandatory to have insurance on your home and when the insurance companies become honest and they can mandatory the insurance that you have to pay on your home . My motto is if they don't follow the law then why should I. Is insurance companies know to get an attorney in the hassle and all that they hope you just turn your head and walk away. Second of all you don't negotiate with a demon the insurance companies are that demon. As a demon gives you illusions of grandeur. The insurance companies make you feel you're covered we got your back when in fact they're going to stab you in the back. After all black rock owns them all don't you all know ??

I did motor vehicle insurance defense work for years and it was common knowledge which companies were unethical in the handling of claims and our firm would not work for them. Undoubtedly, it's the same with homeowners' insurers. Worse, the Republican legislature and Ron DeSantis have made it harder to sue insurance companies for their bad faith.

usaa did this to me in Arizona after a huge monsoon storm last year!! Pay more money a month than they give when filing a claim!
