Before my wife passed away, I sang her this song because she always loved me brushing her hair and telling her how much I loved her. She died on arms peacefully. She is now my special and guardian angel. RIP Sweetheart.. You WIll Always Be In My Heart. I Will See You Again In Heaven. 11/27/20

@@cecilelopezbernal4903. Before my husband passed away are used to play Matt Monro softly as I leave you. Those are real words from a man who was dying and his wife was playing on him sleeping. He did not wanna wake her. It’s a fantastic song and it’s exactly what happened to us when my husband passed away. I had him softly in my arms ours all of our three kids were holding him also by the hand. We are for watching slip away to eternity. Very satisfying I would say.

My husband was a professional singer. He opened for Connie Frances , Mel Torme , etc out in California. He was older than me. This was before we met. This was a song I used to play all the time on a restaurant jukebox we went to. It was a bit before my time , but I loved it. He surprised me one night and sang it for me on stage , when I went to work with him. (He sang in clubs) He surprised me again at our wedding reception and sang it to me. He had a rare kidney disease pop up out of the blue , and when he was lying in ICU in a semi coma , I sang it to him. After his funeral my sister asked me to go out with her and her friends to get me away from sitting at home crying. The first song that they played at the lounge was this song. (Not a current song in 2003) I began to cry. My sister said "It's Troy letting you know that he's still with you". I miss him terribly , but I know he is waiting for me in Heaven , because he loved the Lord. That gives me peace. ❤😪

My Mom and Dad, and they took me along with them to his concert in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1970's . My Momma's crush! My Mother swayed and clapped and sang throughout the whole concert. While my Father kept his eyes on her the whole concert just smiling! And I watched my Father, watching my Mother! LOL My heart was HAPPY that day! My Parents renewed their Wedding vows to this song. And they always danced at home to this song. A few weeks after my Father passed away. I put on this song on. And I slow danced with my Mother. Her face was full of tears! She sobbed quietly! Which made made me cry! Damn I miss them both!!!!!

lanny ross Ain't THAT the truth! And, much of what we're hearing today, isn't really that good; The electronic age is not a bad thing but, electronic ✋ claps, drum beats, string section and horns, have taken the place of REAL musicians and, what THEY do best; the rapper who's got no real talent and, uses other people's materials and, make a TON of money from "Sampling", is a sad, wistful longing for something real. I too my friend, want to at least find a radio station that plays these wonderful, lyrically rich songs; So, I can reminisce about love, life and the joy of it!

I do private parties, shows in community events, fairs and assisted care/memory care centers. I met my wife online while I was taking care of my mother (I am a retired firefighter/paramedic) when she was in one state, and I was in another. I would put the phone by my equipment and sing this song and many others to her over the phone. I would sing my mother's favorites to her. After we lost Mom, I moved to my girl's place and immediately got married. That was almost 10 years ago. Best move I ever made! Now, I sing to her "live"!!

My mother's big crush, and the one man she said she would leave my father for. :) I miss being with her as she listened to his 8 track on Saturday afternoons.

I saw Englebert in the first row by the stage. He reached down, took my hand and sang to me "After the Lovin". Think I melted in the chair. 1982

This is another great song and music arrangement ever recorded (1976) that came and stayed in our hearts and memory. Thank you for composing, creating and singing music so beautiful and so melodically well done. It transports me to another different place where I feel peace even for a while. Thanks again.

Those were the songs of my youth, I am lucky that my prime years were during those times.

I've heard a video on how he and his wife faced her illness and it's so encourages me to hear love in a relationship. I'm sure that's how the Creator intended it!
