it can play out later in a mission but that's all i'll say because i have not seen both choices in said mission but how you interacted with warden commander has a different outcome because i got a notification 'since you talked to the first warden you...' but that's spoilers

I've played through twice picking both options and there is a difference later in a companion quest. Not all of the choices are immediately obvious, especially if you miss side or companion quests.

I even saw people in your comments complaining about Taash not having character and being badly written... I think they has one of the best story arcs :(

There are some writing issues with them, I unfortunately can't deny that (I think they were possibly intended to be younger but was aged up to avoid some issues), but I used Taash for a lot of my game and their companion dialogues really helps flesh them out more. It's a shame a lot of people won't hear them because they'll only ever use Taash when forced.

@@PlayerSlotAvailable Like for sure Taash’s could do with a bit more peer review/editing before release but really the controversy is just the narrative exists at all and gets flame for it. These hate-engage monger just don’t have other hobbies that exercise and cope with their insecurities in less toxic way but dogpiling on a scapegoat. 😢

I really like them i feel like it wasnt badly written but lack scenes / dialogues to fully flesh them out.

@@PetitFrogMilkArt The dialogues are unfortunately mostly companion dialogues during exploration. They help Taash's character a lot, like after their personal questline is done Taash tells the other companion stories about their upbringing and they're about their mother supporting them in a way Taash just doesn't understand because they're so blinded by disliking their mother. The two ways that I think could have really elevated Taash's storyline a bit more would be to make Tassh's mother more exasperated with them, so the arguments that happen are actual arguments instead of Taash seemingly lashing out for almost no reason, and to age Taash down to about 14, so all the times Taash throws a tantrum and acts like a child seem logical instead of annoying (because of the state of the actual world right now, I don't think they wanted to deal with the backlash of having an actual teenager having a gender identity crisis so they aged Taash up but forgot/didn't have the time to rewrite their scenes, just my personal theory I doubt is correct). Another thing they could have done was make Emmerich the trans/non-binary character of the group, because everyone loves Emmerich and Taash was dealing with enough already, but he would have had to be established as that already, so making a realization plotline wouldn't have worked with him.

Hurray. And just after I finished the last episode and found myself without anything to watch. I just now found out from what you said.. that there is a "treasure nearby" sound.... I played 169 hours of the game, and 100%ed it (on hardest difficulty without a minimap) and never found out what that sound was.

You... did see the entire portion where the dragon stepped on a plate and got shish-kebabed by many, many large speared chain launchers at the beginning and did drag the dragon down to the point where it could have been killed if not for Ghilain'nain, right? Sometimes some of you people talk about horrible writing in this game or other media, but don't pay attention to the most over-the-top and obvious things.

Jesse is the official rizz-lord of this game. I love ya man but you are trying WAY to hard to make this game come across better than it is. Gender stuff aside, the writing and dialog are terrible.

Here's the thing, the writing isn't all bad. There are bad sections and cringey line deliveries but by and large the writing in this game is pretty solid.

@@Steingrimr I would argue that it’s not cringe line deliveries but cringe lines. We know Harding has a great VA cause she was great in inquisition but she’s kinda awkward and cringe here cause her voice direction and lines are now like, an adorkable people pleaser.
