Oh my, I know the feeling my friend! My farm is gone, but thankfully I wasn't using it. I've been in Florida caring for 91yr old folks. I hope you and your family didn't lose a lot, and you are able to get back to where you were before the rain and hurricane Helene came thru. You are doing the right thing by finding the joy on this earth where you can. I know a smile can change your whole day!! Patara's videos do make me smile as well!! Especially the puppies... I'm an unashamed dog lover! {In fact, I probably like dogs more than most people these days} Stay warm, safe, and close to the Lord. Last night's snow added 5" on top of 12"snow + 1" ice. This reminds me of my childhood, now people understand when I said I never got to have a Birthday party. Yep turned 61 today. Got a great present 1 lone bright Sun beam came out while I was feeding animals. Hadn't seen sun in over a week.

Our German Shepherd has had a ball in the snow. She loves it so much. I have to watch from inside because I do not want to fall and possibly break a hip. I am a 77 year old woman with bad knees and I am having a hard time getting around. Eighteen years ago I was going to have double knee replacement surgery but I had a terrible cough so they would not do it. I took this as a sign from God not to do it. I still can walk and with problems that some people have with the replacements, I feel I made the right choice. So I will suffer with my choice. Love the dogs and all the farm animals. Patara, watching you and all your babies was so relaxing. Last night Eugene's blood pressure dropped to 64/40. He had already gone to bed, but something didn't feel right so he got up and checked it. Thank God he did. Now, let me tell you! I put the hound in the bedroom to avoid any problem. The EMTs had Eugene in the ambulance. I had let LeRoy out. I was standing by the driver's side door with Eugene's phone. I didn't want to interrupt them. Suddenly LeRoy bayed! He was sitting on the ground right behind me. THAT scared me. Didn't the hounds of the Baskervilles bay when someone passed? Girl, I lost it. About 5 hours later his BP was up and he was released with directions on dealing with low BP. He takes 4 Rx for high BP. Your video calmed me a lot. Thank you. God bless you and all of yours.

Here in Aiken SC w got roughly 2 1/4" yesterday .He snow was coming down like puffy cotton balls ! Loved ❤ it ! But today we had sunshine so all is gone except in the shade . We got about 4" of fluffy snow on the farm. It was a blessing for skidding out some logs. I reckon I saw every critters footprints in the snow today. Rabbits, squirrels, fox, bobcat, turkeys, deer, and even a young bear. It only got to 22°, but it was beautiful.

I am in middle Tennessee and we got 5 inches of snow. My son and I were out walking the property looking at tracks we found deer tracks and rabbit tracks and little bird tracks they were so cute. It looks like on the 20th we can get another round of snow.

Holy - Moley I thought it was the clown car for chickens ! 😆 They just kept coming out of that door ,!! Loved seeing the animals. I once saw a video where a woman and her daughter knit little yarn sweaters for all her chickens and ducks, it was the funniest thing to see. We have you beat on the snow and haven’t come out of the low 30’s all week. We’re completely used to it up here in northern NY. We just grin and bear it until spring. Thank you so much for your videos Patara. Been following you since the storm 🤗 I’m in Australia but my daughter’s father is in Pasadena, mainly Altadena. Sooo many family members have lost everything it’s all so sad. Please don’t be disheartened they ain’t gonna get nothing either. CA only getting all that gov $$ because they know it will be laundered. NC wouldn’t do that so they know they can’t get a rerun on their ‘investment’ 😏😔 Prayers to you all and so much love.
