Gundam X is friggin' awesome, matter of fact it's right up there with the very best of Universal Century and one of my absolute favorite Gundam series alongside 0079, 0083, 08th MS Team, Zeta, Char's Counterattack, Victory, and Turn A too.

Great review Davis! Out of all the alternative universes, After War Gundam X is my personal favorite. It really is a great series that really did need a lot of love as i enjoyed it a lot. It really shows what happened if the one year war went south with catastrophic results. You can feel the world has changed since that war as it's a survival of the fittest throughout. The cast is fantastic as each one of them are realistic and likeable. Garrod Ran is one of my favorite protagonists as he is very hot headed, clever in his tactics, and clearly becomes a better person by the series end. The mecha are awesome, the frost brothers are fun villains and their mechs complement their personas really well. The Gundam Double X is my favorite main gundam as i love it's looks and weapons as you need genuine skills to really make it a force to be reckoned with and Garrod succeeds that brilliantly. This is a underrated series that really needs more love as it doesn't deserve the black sheep reputation it got over the years, and i highly recommend it!

My cousin bought the dvd 📀 collection during the adult swim airing of Gundam Wing. Pretty much borrowed it from him for a whole summer and binged it. Definitely was underrated and always was waiting for Adult Swim to air an English version.

Finally came around to watching Gundam X on billibilli site and I was pleasantly surprised about the shows focus on Newtypes in an alternate universe Gundam series no less, not only is it underrated it's one of the best shows in the franchise, plus I get UC mixed with Wing vibes

I just started watching Gundam X and it already feels underrated to me and im already 6 episodes in. The characters and worldbuilding feel more in depth. Random sidenote but a satellite weapon for the main Gundam's armament is pretty unique to me.

Great review of this! After War Gundam X is my favorite of all the Gundam series or Gundam universe as I call it. I rewatched all of its episodes in BiliBili and it still never disappoint even after over 20 years since I last watched it. And I feel sorry for Jamil for not being with Lucille Liliant (the Newtype woman) again because she chose to let her mind die in her capsule. I understand that she wanted to rest and not let anyone use her for her abilities again. But I just feel that she and Jamil has a chance.

Yes this one is really underrated! It has been overshadowed by the awful Evangelion. To me, after the first Gundam series, it's Gundam 00, then After war Gundam X.

this is my second favorite Gundam Series after G Gundam and the Double X is my favorite MS of all time

Worthwhile note is that Gundam X's existence was made known to the West via chibi comedic 4koma sequences that were part of the manga release of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Last Outpost/G-Unit. It isn't much, but it is a fun bit of Gundam IP history.

I'll admit, I'm mostly a casual viewer of Gundam, and I never saw Gundam X, but I might just check it out now. I've only seen a handful of full-length series and OVAs all the way through, including G, Wing, Stardust Memory, 8th MS Team, SEED, and SEED Destiny. I've seen bits and pieces of the some of the original Universal Century entries. I might have to fix that someday.

Would have liked to see Gundam X mainly because I knew nothing about it. I only know of this season because I saw the name pop up on my computer screen when I researched Gundams.

Gundam Universe give us Gundam X or Gundam XX, or jeez at least Gundam Leopard.
