I had a back seat flight in an F-16D over the Med and Turkey 35 years ago. Low-level through the mountains was a sight and feeling I will never forget. Still remember it like it was yesterday and one of the best days of my career. Just as great was flying low-level in a MC-130 Combat Talon low-level while sitting on the ramp watching the ground go by. Damn - I miss the Air Force.

@@slowmotion5516 No Idea if that is possible considering how the Turks regard the Kurds. I was in the US Air Force at the time I got the flight.

Did you hear any stories about dogfights over the Aegean sea between the Turks & the Greeks?

@@Koufalia4 Yep. I was in Athens at the Embassy 2007-2013 and they had multiple engagements between the Turks and Greeks. The Greeks even lost an F-16 and the pilot while encountering a Turk over Greek airspace. Well, the Greeks consider it their airspace but the Turks think it is theirs.....along with some Greek Islands.

When you’re in those tight turns close to the ground, do you need to manually control the rudder to keep it level with the ground or does the plane do it automatically for you?

Great video looked like you where just sitting in a corner office. Know that you had to be working your butt off. Got a question bottom of box looked like 200 to 300 feet maybe. What was top of box on cvu day?

For their airspace its surface to 15,000 feet. Each maneuver has different “gates.” Bottom is 200 feet but most maneuvers are targeting 500 feet with a bottom of 400.

Love american aircraft - they are pilot's aircraft. Pity that in real life I won't be able to fly in F-16 unless I will be millionaire some day. DCS F16 is pretty exact when you use Brunner flight controls (full force feedback) and VR, you should try it. Since I fly irl, I understand plenty of whats going on, but would like a specific about a demo flights using DCS such as numbers to look for. Thanks.
