I must be the exception. My first electrolysis session was yesterday, and it was leaps and bounds better than what I had worked it up to be from reading lots of reviews. The worst part was the time it took -- not easy laying around doing nothing and not being able to talk because she was working on my face. When done she applied aloe gel and my aftercare instructions were to use ice or cold compress on the area if I felt the need, and my routine the following day would be whatever was normal for me. I didn't need the compress and this morning was just another day -- no swelling, redness, scabbing, bruising, etc. I return in two weeks so she could check the hair growth. I am so excited to be moving forward with this, and encourage anyone sitting on the fence to just jump. You won't regret it.

Great video. I had my first session today and I wasn’t planning on touching my skin until tomorrow. I did get some after care instruction but I wasn’t sure if I should exfoliate the area or not. But I think I’ll just wait a few days to work that back into my skin care routine. I do use a fragrance free cleanser, witch hazel and I bought aloe vera just in case I need it.

Oops - just had my first electrolysis session & washed my face 7 hours later with an aloe Vera face wash. Hopefully all will be well.

You can use soap-free fragrance-free cleansers if you want otherwise the skin can get irritated a little

@@itsmelisates yes definitely noticed a burn after washing with my face wash, so I stopped. I am now putting 100% aloe vera straight from the plant (of course after properly cleaning and prepping the plant) on my face. This method has helped my face tremendously!

@@itsmelisates hello , I need your help please. I had my 2nd electrolysis session and this time I have experienced red spots all over the treated area that is persisting with me (now for the 5th day). She uses synchroblend of dectro xcell pro on my skin (which has coarse dark hairs after years of laser treatment stimulation). I'm not sure if it will leave any scarring or hyperpigmentation or if this reaction and the duration of its stay is normal? Also I'm experiencing scabbing that leaves behind pitting. 😕 what advices do you recommend? Is she doing my treatment correctly?

@@lunabinhussien4950 Hi, it’s easier if I see a picture of the area to judge if it’s a normal reaction. You can send this through Instagram or email melis.ates@hotmail.co.uk

@@itsmelisates Hi! I need some advice. This Friday I should have had the second electrolysis session. The lady has some health problems and for the next few weeks she can't help me... if I use the laser this time and then continue with electrolysis, would it affect anything?
@itsmelisates2 жыл бұрын
@@lunalunna4018 Hi! Trim or shave between electrolysis sessions. In the meantime find someone else who can offer a session until your other lady is back to work. I personally don’t recommend laser for facial hair unless the hair is extremely think and everywhere e.g. like a full on beard.

Hey I have a question. So I did had my procedure done on my face and I accidentally started peeling of my skin after like the 3 or 4th day. And then I have like atrophic mini scar holes on my face and I don't know what to do about this. Please could you tell me what to do?

Being on Accutane should I go on with my electrolysis sessions? My dermatologist said it's ok but I'm afraid of making scars.
@itsmelisates4 жыл бұрын
You can continue as long as your skin feels ok. If you experience any side effects from Accutane, e.g really dry skin, needle insertion may be difficult during electrolysis which can cause problems. If not, I recommend you carry on as normal.

What should we do if we’ve gotten small pustules?
@itsmelisates3 жыл бұрын
This is due to bacteria that got into the area or very sensitive skin. Keep the area clean. After 24 hours you can use soap-free fragrance-free facial cleanser 2 times a day. Carry on applying aftercare products such as aloe-vera/witch hazel to treat.

You didn't mention that hair grows in cycles so it is important to go every month. It won't be the same hair that was removed last time but a new cycle. That's what I was told by an electrolycist.

I talk about that in the initial consultation not the aftercare
