I wish there were more hi-res albums of marimba music out there.

Yes, there's more, this is just an excerpt (about half of the piece), thanks!

@@genekoshinskimusic Is there a full version of this particular recording? I really prefer the sound here instead of the album version.

@@bhoenix3213 sorry no, I just did a quick demo for the video. I do have a recording from the CD in my book ("TWO") which has the entire track (which is the same audio from this video shoot)

@@genekoshinskimusic That's cool. Thanks for the reply. I've got one more question, though (if you are able to answer it), have you ever experimented with microtonal tunings before? (Just curiousness, I love your work, and, I've recently struck an interest for microtonal stuff, so, I wondered)

@@bhoenix3213 no, I think it's cool, but I have never experimented with it. Maybe some day...

hey i know this is a late comment because this video was posted 6 years ago but one this piece, I was having trouble counting the 3/2 part and the 6/4 part. How would you count that whenever you're normally practicing the piece Also the book is amazing lol

Unfortunately no, sorry, you would need to get the TWO collection. If you are interested, there is a digital version of the book as well, which is less expensive. All available at genekoshinski.com

@@alecgodfrey4510 I actually think those are the NJZ series mallets from Innovative Percussion, but I could be wrong as well LOL

@alecgodfrey4510 4 жыл бұрын
allah oh阿拉歐 they used to be the NJZ mallets but I guess there was a whole fallout with NJZ and IP, but due to the high demand of those mallets they just renamed them to the Artisan series. I read that on a mallet review a while back so it could be wrong but that’s what I think happened
