Afternoon Raga (12 - 15) Kaushiki Chakrabarty- Raga Madhuvanti

I came to feed the cows in the field. As they started sipping the liquid Daana, I thought Let's listen to an afternoon Raag. The weather is breezy here. The hush of the wind, chirps of the small birds and a tinkling sound of Ghugraas worn by the younger cattles. Just imagine the ambience accompanied by this masterpiece. If this isn't heaven, I don't know what is!❣

Mridupawan, as a listener of the raag I had your experience but in reverse. I visualized your field, the cows, and then the whole scene you recounted became heaven for me! You have no idea how much I miss the landscapes and ambience of your country. In my youth I spent three wonderful years in Kangra Dtt., Himachal Pradesh. Those years will always be with me. Bottom line, thank you for bringing it all back!
