When I hear sampled sound, I normally expect the game to be bad since they wasted so much memory on the sample. However, I noticed that you did a cut after it played the sound, so I guess there was a substantial pause while it was overwriting the memory with precalc data for the scrolling. It's a good looking game and the programming seems very well done!

Yeah, I had similar suspicions! 😁 I cut because it keeps pitching up the sample and plays it until you press a key. And there's actually no noticeable pause between the sample screen and the menu.

Very cool. Reminds me of a vintage Mac game called Continuum.

Gotta love the name of AFTEROIDS 😹👍. Also, it reminds me of LAST MISSION on the Commodore 64 😺👍🕹️.

very nice game! i remember fred and liked it alot, fred brought back memories of snake pit by bally! if you want completely destroyed play some snake pit haha
