This dates back to when any kind of vocal based house with a similar vibe was referred to as garage because of the connection to the Paradise Garage and the disco side of house. @@Alex-jn1xz No one said it did... But maybe you should listen to early 90s UK Garage, it was very similar to US House/ US Garage back then, as the sound was directly influenced by US tracks. Plenty of tracks back then people wouldn't have known whether they were made in the US or the UK unless it was otherwise stated e.g. Hard Dub of Logic - Blues For You, NY Vocal Mix of H20 feat Billie - Satisfied.

Maybe I should look into "Just Garage" songs since I've checked a lot of the UKG songs. But UKG sounds really good and fun to me, I can't say it ruined Garage in England imo. I know it paved the way to other genres like Dubstep too which makes it extra appealing :)
