The perfect analogy for those just starting out in sound! Thanks for having me on, hope my contribution was helpful to everyone! A common thread among us were whooshes and foley ;)
@AftertouchAudio3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for being apart of it! Whooshes are up on my list but also hand pats/grabs, anything that someone grabs or interacts with needs some sort of sound effect.

This was interesting, thanks for posting, but I really think if you set the oven at 150 it will cook more evenly and will sound better :-)

Ohhh I tried 350 and got some good results, never thought of going to 150. Must try. P.S don’t try, this is the internet ^^^ jokes were made.

I feel like I see a lot of reviews for plugin ins but not any for sound libraries. With say Sound Design 101's recommendation for getting good footstep and foley libraries, are there any in particular they recommend or you recommend. But besides that being a specific question I'm just looking for more library recommendations in general. There is just so much out there that it's hard to choose. I've got a lot of boom library stuff which I love but just want to keep my eye out for more stuff out there.

Hey Brandon! Yes footsteps are hard to curate well. I personally use the footsteps in Sound Ideas General 6000 series. It covers pretty much everything. However I understand that isn’t easily accessible. If the sound doesn’t quite fit, I’m finding that Soundly’s Pro library does a really good job!
@AftertouchAudio3 жыл бұрын
@@brandonboomizad738 Recording your own footsteps I would recommend adding some character to each step. When you set your foot down go heel to toe and and a little twist in there so you really get the character of what you are walking on. Just like Sound Design 101 said, there is a lot samples out there and most of them are just not good. Recording your own you can really get character in your sounds, plus it gives you an excuse to wear heels.

as a beginner to sound design, this video is super helpful! I actually just made a video kind of similar to this on my channel covering the sound design methods used to create the sounds for super mario 64. I put a ton of work into it and It would mean a so much to me if someone who is actually working in the industry would check it out or maybe just skip through the video and offer some feedback :) also, I will definitely be using that sound design pokedex spreadsheet haha
