I was an extra on The League of Gentlemens Apocalypse, the movie they made after season 3. I shared a car down to the set with Steve Pemberton dressed in full Pauline outfit. Thankfully, I didn't need a pen. I still have Mark Gatiss's autograph. Brilliant show, unlike anything before or since. Second season is even better. Keep watching. Loving your reactions.

The Charlie and Stella Hull sketch (the one in the restaurant) is indeed based on Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith observing the behaviour of couples in restaurants. And the Denton storyline is based on Jeremy Dyson's (the fourth writer who doesn't act in the show) experiences of visiting relatives (Chloe and Radcliffe are also based on the twins from the Shining)

I've actually rewatched the whole thing as I hadn't seen them in over a decade. The one series where even though it's classed as a comedy sitcom and I already know the plot it still sucks me in as a story. Probably the most unique sitcom in the world in terms of being bold and I'm thankful to the BBC for having the guts to fund it

Regardless if it was due to makeup issues or not (papa lazarou) misunderstood by attention seekers claiming offence propped up by bandwagon jumping media, everything worthy on itv and bbc that is not a wildlife documentary or soap opera will probably eventually move only to Britbox. There are too many streaming services. LOG probably won't be on Britbox USA though, or at least for long if the media over there cover it. Cancellation is definitely why throwing away all your old dvd and bluray discs for subscription services is always going to be a bad idea
