That’s cool!!! Of course I’ve watched your motorcycle trips but I didn’t know you rode dirt bike too. Looks fun. Yeah you do make the bike look a little small but you demonstrated it works just fine. As always some nice scenery out there.

Nice work! Thank you. I also have been riding a long time. 37 years. Very little on a dirt bike though. I am unusually short, which means riding a bike that fits is much harder than just getting good at picking up a bike, and getting better at not dumping it in the first place. That said, the 125 may be my only practical option for dirt. This video was helpful in the decision making process. And who wouldn't ride a 199 pound bike, anyway? :-D

a street legal 125 would be even nicer but yeah at under 200 lbs, this little thing is really powerful for its size... this is my first dirt bike/ my street bike is 21 yrs old with 68K on it so i am way more experienced on street / and i take the shadow on dirt roads sometimes which is a bit nuts and very slow... anyway yeah if you are shorter, this bike will be a ton of fun // my Ladyfriend Roxana is 5 foot 1 inch tall and she fits Perfectly on this bike... IF you can afford it and want to do jumps and harder riding, the crf150 is the same frame with a slightly bigger engine and WAY better suspension but it costs almost twice the 4K this costs.... i have seen lighter kids jump this thing but i wouldnt want to get too much air with anyone over 125lbs on it... it is a tough little bike but is Not made for jumping ... glad i could help you out and yeah look at the 150 as well and good luck! let me know when you get something!

Seems like you found a bike you like, plus it's easy to haul around in your truck. Should be good for your Death Valley trips.
@potatothorn3 жыл бұрын
yeah we can use it on the edges of death valley where we need to// i would have loved to get a TW like you have but this fit a lot better in the truck AND it is small enough for Roxana to ride it// plus we have been going to this area constantly and there is plenty of dirt bike legal terrain here so it works well for us

Looked like a fun ride! Interesting history of the river. Man, would be really cool to off-road bike through that area.

Stay on trail please. I love Afton Canyon. That water is much deeper now.
@potatothorn3 жыл бұрын
the entire river area in the Canyon is "open riding" i am on trail, or in places where it is legal to do whatever i want. Know Where You Are./ On the east side of the Canyon is the Open Area of the OHV Park, you should know what that is if you are out there/ The few "closed routes" are marked as such. The Open Area is exactly that/ open riding. The water goes up and down quite frequently, but if you are referring to the crossing/ it is still filled with rocks and is about the same, i watched a jeep go thru it 2 days ago. Too cold for me to cross it on the bike this time of year though.
