That has to be the most PE I've ever seen on a scale model - and I love it! looking forward to the next video!

The amount of work that went into all the extra details is just hilarious! Massive probs for the effort you put into that model!

Great work so far! I love all the extra detailing! Remember, the anti slip would wear off in real life too, so don’t be afraid to sand parts down. 👍👍😁

thin tamiya putty in cement and stipple with a hard brush perpendicularly leaves good texture for anti-slip

Excellent build !! However, I think considering how much they charge For the Kit, they could have done a Lot better with the No Slip surface Details !!!

Very Nice, 'TSE'!!! I too have the 'AFV' kit, but it is the one with A-C unit on the side ( Upgrade 2010 {??} ), so I can only think that it will be similar to your build. I have used 'VMS' hull tex on a small portion of a tank build, but I see that you sprayed it on.....I "squirted" my hull tex-coat straight from the bottle. But My question is: Do you squirt the hull tex in a airbrush bottle with " liquid " and using a large needle ( or "no needle" in your video ), spray the hull tex straight onto the model?? What liquid medium did You use??? I do like the PE but which one do you think, is the better?? I mean your 'AFV' kit Looks pretty detailed...so do I Even NEED the PE set(s). I could purchase both, looks like 'Voyager' PE set looks much more pieces. ( NOT an issue with me....I'm Very comfortable in using PE ). So which one is the better buy?? Good job on the scratch-building.... smoke generators, the shells casings!! Wow, a lathe, nice!! Watch Those fingers!!

@@Hey_MikeZeroEcho22P thanks for the comment! Yeah the build should be nearly identical, the vms hull Tex I used is the “air” version, and so is designed with spraying already in mind, it’s slightly finer texture than the dry stuff. For PE, I’d say the voyager set is better bang for your buck, I wanted the side baskets, and so also purchased the Eduard set. Honestly the base kit is already really nice, and so PE is up to you. Personally I love adding a little brass to my kits, but if that’s not a big thing for you, the model will still come together great!

@@TheScaleEngineer WOW.... That was a QUICK Reply!👍👍👍 Thanks for the answers...... I have to look at the 'VMS' products from Michigan Toy Solider company again, I must have missed the "air" version. AND speaking of 'VMS' Products........how do you clean up those brushes??? I heard that when applying the cement before hull tex application, that the brush was ruined, isn't there a way?? ( I used a 'Testor' brush, and was able to clean it ........... I Believe with lacquer thinner, I just don't remember ). In their 'VMS' tutorials...they don't mention it.

@ usually I just consider the brush lost…usually use a cheap brush for application

Just a thought, do you think maybe some liquid mask on the Bolts beforehand would have saved you some Clean Up time ?
@TheScaleEngineer3 күн бұрын
@@stephenashley8431 maybe! Once you get in the groove though, cleaning these up, it’s not too bad for each bolt, and so it might just be a waste of time
