I love using the Recoil with AG Liquid Effects. It is a liquid gel. They also have foams that are popular with some curlies. One is in their volume line and their other is in their naturals line. I personally have not tried them but I have seen good results on IG

Thanks for the info. I recently heard another influencer talk about the Liquid Effects, but outside of the Recoil I don't hear other influencers talk too much about AG. Not sure why 🤔. For me, the price I kind of a hang up.

The recoil works great with the curlsmith shine gel. I agree re the scent of the gel Mousse, my hair looked great with that but I couldn't stand the smell and gave it away.

Oh that's nice to know! I currently don't have the shine gel, but I may have a reason to get it here in the future. 🙂

I get the best results with the recoil on its own and separately the mousse gel with a light leave in. I get a cast with both products.

Good to know! I'm a suckered for layering products, especially since it isn't always easy for me to get a cast.

I think AG Beach Bomb offers more hold than Re:Coil. It’s marketed more toward wavy hair types, but it works wonders on my type 3b hair. I think curlier hair types might overlook Beach Bomb but it is, in fact, bomb for type 3 hair.

Thank you for sharing! I know I've certainly overlooked it. 😀

So glad you did this video! I wanted to try this brand for a while and actually have the AG recoil. I’m pretty sure that AG was pulled from Ulta because of the new packaging. I hope they come back though!

The fact that it contains Tetrasodium EDTA doesn't mean that it's a full-on chelating shampoo. That is a chelating ingredient, but a lot of regular shampoos contain a small amount of it (or other chelating ingredients, most commonly Disodium EDTA) just to prevent mineral build-up from any water (even softer water contains some minerals.) An actual chelating shampoo will contain one or more chelating ingredient(s) in higher concentrations to actually remove heavy mineral build-up from hard water. But I'd imagine if your regular-use shampoo contains any chelators, albeit in lower concentrations, you may not ever need to use a full-on chelating shampoo unless your water is hard. Even then you may not need to chelate as often as you would otherwise.

When I said the product has "magnesium" as a curl enhancer I should have said that it was Magnesium Sulfate. Somehow I missed that in my editing.🤔 Sorry.

What brush did you use for brush styling? Your hair looks great!

What is your fav hair care line? Is that the BeHairful (sp?) brush?
@lifeoffinecurls Жыл бұрын
It's so hard to narrow it down, but probably my tried and true line would be Hask Curl Care. And no I don't have a BeHairful brush. I have a Denman, Tangle Teezer, and a Briogeo brush.
