Found you through a Lukla video, now I've seen all your videos. Blown away by the seemingly casual skills. Keep posting mate, love it.

As far as i know, the pilot who had landed and took off in lukla. They are categorized as legendary aviator. This ag pilot is one of them 🤙

This clip perhaps shows my oft frustration with cross-country circuits, outside of ag or firebombing. Nice footage. I can almost smell the super. Cheers

That's a sick landing, can tell you know your aircraft and have landed many times before on that airstrip. Very tight downind and base. love it!

"Too high, too high, too fast, too late....PERFECT!" That's a pilot at the top of the skill tree. Ag flying must have the lowest error margins in the aviation. One misjudgement and you have a serious mishap.

I was thinking the same thing! Absolute precision

I know it doesn't show it here but I love the 'white boiler suit' I often see you guys wear, I almost expect you to be wearing white welly boots as well :-) Always impressed with the Cresco and your skills. Great vid as usual Jimbo mate. BTW what's the shortest flat strip you operate from?
@JimboBurgess3 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate. Shortest strip I've worked off would be around 220-230m. I prefer the longer ones 😁
@ShortField3 жыл бұрын
@@JimboBurgess don't we all, is that sub 250m off flat ground? power to weight of the Cresco must be awesome and is the wing loading low when empty and if so does the aircraft become a handful when the hoppers empty in any turbulence?
@JimboBurgess3 жыл бұрын
That was a steep strip. Flat ones are longer 400-500m to cart a similar load. Funnily enough a shorter steep strip is better than a medium length flat one 😁

Hey Jimbo, random question that sprung to mind. I see you were flying a right hand circuit here. On Ag strips do you always fly standard left hand circuits unless terrain is an issue? Thanks for the vid.
@JimboBurgess3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. Aside from any terrain or obstacles in the way, the turn is decided by the direction of the area to be fertilised. Cheers for the question and kind words, appreciate it

If the NZDF ever buys an aircraft carrier we know where to look for pilots.
