Hi, Great instruction and demonstration of your tools usage. I'm in the middle of a valve stem seal job in my home garage on 2010 BMW X5M S63TU. I visited your AGA website, nice building, lot's of overhead cost, hence the price you're charging for these simple, yet effective tools. Your cost for both tool sets needed for the seals: N63 CAM TIMING KIT SKU AGA-CTK-N63 $749.00, N63 VALVE STEM SEAL TOOL KIT SKU AGA-N63-VSK-K $1,399.00, Sub Total $2,148.00 Shipping $34.51 Total $2,182.51 This is not very cost effective for the DIY'ers doing a one-time job. This being said, do you offer a rental service? I shopped the web and Ebay'ers are offering rental, which also is pricey. Regards.

@@ameerzeidan123 no instructions come with tools. These are professional tools and with professionals tools you are expected to know how to use them. I did this job year ago I do have experience with working on the cars. I used various different sources when it comes to timing the engine. I also did have BMW tech just phone call away when I got stuck. This give me confidence to do the job. Keep in mind he didn’t do any work. All he did was sometimes give me directions Best of luck 👍🏻

Hello. I have 2010 bmw 750i acutal 130 000km and this engine has 1liter oil consumption. Is this n63 engine? I haven't seen white smoke from exhaust pipe. What is my problem? best regards stan

***** thanks for your answer. This is 1L per 1000-1200km, not miles. Engine has no leakage and no white smoke from exhaust. Repleacing seals is possible without removing motor head?

Would prob get more sales on the tool if there was a video of Martin Christensen demonstrating to us how to remove parts off the car and how to do a proper leak down test instead of just showing us on an engine that is off the car. =P cool tool a little pricey but can definitely save you some time. like if you want to see a full tutorial =)

Hi Art. Because time is of the essence, we cannot produce a video that demonstrates removing everything inside the engine bay. The cost of also having a camera man record 35+ hours of video can get quite expensive as well. We made this instructional video with the engine outside of the vehicle is for a couple of reasons, one being that if the engine was inside the vehicle, you would not be able to get clear view of the engine and what we are trying to show you. If we made a video with the engine inside the vehicle, all you would be able to see are the cylinder heads and the technician working on it. We recommend this job for a professional technician who understands the basic concept of being a technician. Removing an intake manifold and using a leak down tester should be common knowledge for those planning to tackle this job. We understand that not everyone is able to afford a technician to perform this job, so we tried the best we can to capture the important details of this job and put it all on one video without having to sit through a 26 hour video after all said and done with editing and etc. However, if anyone were to have any questions, comments or issues while performing this job, we have a tech support line that is available from Monday through Friday 8-5 PST. Khalifa Khalifa Step 1: remove oil filter and check for small metal particles in the bottom of oil cap. If metal then replace engine. Step 2. If no metal then install a new vanos solenoid on the affected camshaft. Change oil and filter. Stroke the valve cover (bank 1) gently and say some nice things. Maybe you get lucky and its fixed. Step 3. If fault returns then replace engine. Step 4. Don't spend any money on an N63 trying to diagnose or check timing or replacing timing chains. Just buy a new engine. Step 5. Don't listen to anybody telling you that it can be fixed. It can but the cost is HIGH and the crank bearings with probably seize and fail shortly after. If its got more than 60k, then replace it. Look for discounted engine prices coming to a dealer near you.

Ive done this job countless times as I work for bmw. The last quote I did just the labor was 8,000 dollars as it takes about 40 hours to do. And all german auto does a terrible job of how to do this. Some of the tools in the kit are garbage and nobody i know takes the injectors out because you dont need to.

$1,200 for this tool? And most likely you’ll only use it 1 time? I think not! You can get it done at a indy for 2500. Its better to save up for the extra cash and get it done there. Not any indy but 1 that u can trust. 1200 is waaaaay over overpriced

Levi, you may use it once. But how many times are these independent using it? Many BMW workshops and independent shops have used our tools many times to provide customer with fast and reliable valve stem seal replacements. So if you think from an independent's perspective, they use this tool once at the rate of $2,500 for this job, they have paid the tool off the first time they use it plus made extra money. 2nd time using it is profit.

He forgot that if u used full air pressure the timing case will break where the pin is holding the harmonic balancer

This is where our N63 Timing Chain Lock comes in. The chain lock will lock the timing chain in place so the engine doesn't rotate over, causing any damages.

You can use regular hand tools, that isn't the issue. Using regular hand tools will take MUCH longer as you will need to remove the engine, valve cover, timing cover, cams, timing chain and cylinder heads. Which most people don't want to do.
