One of the fiercest endgames I've ever seen. Usually they're more of a grind, which is fine as well but this was something else.

Watched this game live. One of the best live rapid games ever. EDIT: It was a very turbulent game. Duda blew chances, Magnus blew chances, lots of comebacks, and the whole game had the Commentators on the edge of their seats!

@@aerrowqueing agreed i.e. there are really great players out there, but frequency of doing silly mistakes became higher with him in past few months, I have seen him taking some risky moves and getting trapped by opponent and in some games he did big blunders too which was hardly seen with him before

Watched the Hikaru-Lex Fridman podcast and Hikaru said maaaaybe Magnus’ only weakness is that he doesn’t like being attacked, but even then it’s really hard to figure out exactly how to attack Magnus. It would seem as though Duda is starting to figure some things out as this is starting to become a pattern! This is good news!

I saw many of Duda's good moves early in the game without difficulty, but Kt-B5 (move 22) I wouldn't have seen had I stared at the board for a million years.

Why not Bc5 at 8:45? If Qc6, Rf1, king must move and then you can take with bishop and the king cant recapture. A queen trade at that point is still winning, of course.
