Dubov deadly in blitz/rapid because he gets into very complicated positions, where he thrives, and puts the opponent into time trouble. This suits him well as he doesn't always play the "best" moves, but a lot of "Dubovious" ones, but in classical it isn't as effective. Would be great to see him find the balance in classical because I think on a good day he can beat everyone.

@11:38 what if black plays Bf8 instead of taking the rook? Is it Qd5+ and then if king moves to H7, you can take on Qxe4+ with check, or if King goes to H8 instead, then rook takes bishop with Rxf8. And the same checkmate variations occur with queen and rooks which will make short work of black no matter what he does. Agadmator probably should have explained it imo since it would likely be played by most players instead of Bxd8 which just leads to mate or clearly bad/losing position as shown in the video.

Regarding the recent controversial DRAW.... What if chess governing body decides to omit the DRAW option itself? Stop the 'per move' time increments after a certain number of moves say e.g. 90 onwards. Let there be finite time limit allocated say 15 minutes (or different depending on time format). Then, in so called 'drawn' positions, let people repeat moves until someone's clock runs out... This can be one possible solution. This will also help reduce some seemingly illogical consequences like Classical tour winner getting decided on rapid or blitz due to multiple draws in the original format Or Armageddons where merely a draw with black pieces (although with reduced time) gives one a WIN...

Third game, after QH3, why can't Praggna defend with QH2?
@steveleopold6476 Жыл бұрын
That is indeed the best defence (-5.5) where the continuation would be Qxf3 Qg2 Qxf4 and at some point even allowing the queen trade because the endgame is winning for black due to the amount of pawns black has
@TheMarcoDalco Жыл бұрын
Yes, though the situation will still be complicated, and white has a rook for a bishop, which is actually part of a pair. I have no engine to check the continuation. Yes, the black king is very safe and the white one in the open, but it's not getting checkmated, yet.

"How to support the channel?" is bad grammar. "How to support the channel" is a noun phrase, and an incomplete sentence, as it has no verb. It could be "How to support the channel:" with a colon, or "How can you support the channel?", "How can I support the channel?" or, with a passive verb, "How can the channel be supported?" Those are complete sentences. I do understand that such questions are common on the 'Net these days, with a lot of non-native English speakers posting. Myself, I favor the colon, but aside from that, any sentence with a verb will do. I guess the colon doesn't imply a complete sentence. There is also, "How can one support the channel." Aside from that matter, you are a great chess puzzle spotter, and it's even better that they occur in real games. It gives you an idea how hard they are to spot in time controls; and a strong enough player to explain a lot of what's going on. I also like the pics, and the human drama behind the games, too.
