altfaith the point of art school is to get a career in the field, and to become more knowledgeable about techniques, styles, etc. If nothing is graded or submitted within a certain time frame, how will any of the students grow as artists or learn to work in a time crunch? Doing art as a profession isn’t just waiting for inspiration to hit, sometimes it’s producing work under stressful circumstances and doing it over if it’s not right the first time.

Girl!!! You’re gonna LOVE intaglio you can jam pack so much detail onto a copper plate. You’re going to be really good at it with your level of detail in everything. It’s perfect for tattooing too because you can achieve so many cool effects and it’s very precise line work. Just remember the best etchings have a huge range of contrast- blackest blacks against white white. I find that really death oriented images (like a white skeleton in a dark black robe holding a sceptre kind of image) work amazingly well!

Thank you thank you... thank you for FINALLY sharing more in depth details on your finals! Gah! Been keeping very close tabs on your KZbin, hounding obsessively really, for when your next upload will be. Thoroughly inspired, motivated by your overall process and journey through college. Can’t get enough. I absolutely admire your acute sense of colour theory and grasp on pattern and line work, mostly evident in your more, “experimental” works as you like to call it, or I like to consider, abstract and surreal works. Oh, don’t get me started on those woodblock prints! Your line work is next level, it only makes sense all the more why you’ve decided to pursue tattoo art. As much as I love you abstract work, you are also equally talented in figurative paintings. I roll my eyes at the point where you made the statement “get better” at painting. Ms Jasmine, girl. You already are better. You’re amazing. All you work has the appearance of “finish” but I know the feels like any artist, I myself get it, we always feel like our work is never quite finished. Just know, Jasmine, your work is beyond belief extraordinary. Don’t be so hard on yourself. The end. X

Mi ingles es muy malo, pero aún así quiero dejar mi comentario diciendo lo grandioso que son tus obras/dibujos. Y que me encantaron las escenas que mostraste de la película (o eso entendí jaja) que grabaste junto a tus amigos 💕

your art is so ridiculously beautiful, the print of the two snakes is actually devastating, especially to me since i love art with snakes in it. also your vlogs are always so calming and pretty, love them

i’m not sure if you’re still in high school or not, but if you are, a lot of private art universities (pratt especially) give out pretty major merit scholarships that are in addition to whatever financial aid you’ll get! i got accepted to and will be attending pratt for bfa game arts and they gave me a merit scholarship that covers about half of my tuition
