Hey Valerie! I'm a big fan of yours. I've been silently worshiping you for so long. Now I have the impulse to eventually write to you. Your videos are like life lessons with great aesthetics. I admire your approach to everything you do. It is slow, consistent, extremely beautiful to watch and it feels like you put incredible amount of faith in it because you find your way to the end of every project you start. You never quit. That's real courage and resilience. And that's not nearly half of what I have in my mind and heart for you, but maybe some acceptable resume. I'm so grateful to get to know people like you in youtube. It is so enriching. I would like to share that I really love to be on my own, to immerse in the world of imagination and creativity, it feels like the most "real" experience in my life. But that tends to be incompatible with my social life and often I cannot communicate it in an understandable way with others. And I get confused. A lot. I feel isolated and strange. And like you I was too agreeable and easily influenced by opinions and labels that people give without even thinking much. So, at a certain point it became necessary to isolate myself. It felt and still feels like I'm experiencing inexplicable new realms of knowing myself and deeply exploring various subjects. It is literally magical. But also a little bit scary because I don't know how it will turn out. Will I always seem so odd to others, or would I find likeminded souls? I do the map too! Just mine is a scratch map, so everytime I get new country I take my cat coin and scratch it. It has copper foil, and underneath there are countries with bright colours, so it is nice to see my map getting colourful. I know how to feel, always lovely to see where your work travels too.

I just got drawn to the title of this video and as you spoke, i observed you paint yourself... There was something about it... A BELIEF within me: "I create myself with every choice I make; I'm in-charge of my destiny; I change my fate... No one is responsible for my life and I do not make excuses or blame others for my choices and I have no regrets to it as long as it is within my values/virtues..." Your KEYWORDs and their definitions made me refine the above belief in my entire life.... Every single word you spoke reflected as if it was from me... I thought I was just another independent being; then when you work; you reminded me of me itself; the exhaustion; not knowing to stop or to take breaks; just battle on; never taking help from anyone... Being all that I can for others around me... If that means HYPER-INDEPENDENT... Then I have to correct it to be that word... We draw people like us... Opening up about my situation and taking help proved extremely dangerous for me. I think independence is fine! At a certain point, dependence is just about accepting that what you're doing is wrong when someone else says it is, whether that be "hyper" independence or extreme codependence. In the end you decide if what you have is working for you, and if someone doesn't like how independent you are, that's because they want something out of you without giving what it takes to exchange value properly with you to secure it. You don't have to give it to them just because they shame you saying you're too independent. They can compensate you properly for what they want from you. Everyday after a long school day or school week the best feeling ever is seeing that you’ve uploaded. The reason why is because your channel gives me so much joy and so much to look forward too. Because not only do you show great art, the process and the meaning, but you give us a lesson, a theme, a topic. Usually these topics are things that I relate too.
