yeah vladimir is a late game team fight champion so he should be weak early game, but they have to add the Crimson rush mechanic otherwise he would feels too clunky and has no damage to trade with enemy in laning phase. The problem with gnar is he is balanced around pro play so his early lvl health bar is very small

If I'm not wrong it's because of the rune Absolute Focus. Since he is casting E he is losing HP and because his W heals him he is getting in and out of the rune activation range.

Vlad mid Is absolutly viable but top is just an easier, less intensive lane for him rn. Less champs that outrange him means he amplifies his strengths
