With a three color deck and a not that big need for blue for most the deck would it be slightly better to run mana leaks instead of logic knot? I know knot is good in most cases but it seems having double blue cards like that when they will end up being about the same as mana leak seems kinda iffy
@drakeconsumerofsoulsandche57615 жыл бұрын
Knot has delve, and we typically dump our hand turn 2
@WGG-015 жыл бұрын
Drake the troll i know logic knot has delve but if you noticed in all the games it looked really bad playing logic knot mainly due to colored mana restraints. With mana leak he could comfortable hold up two counters with 4 lands while with logic knot he could only hold up around 1 due to most likely not having 4 blue sources. I am not saying logic knot is a bad card I am just saying it is probably a worse option than mana leak in this deck

So what's interesting about this deck is that it's actually not much different than Against the Odds: Psychogenic Probe. The only reason this deck is better isn't because of Kaya, as Kaya is about as effective a win con as Probe, but the way the modern metagame has shifted.

When Kaya was first spoiled I thought she might be able to go into some kind of weird Modern deck where you'play Leyline of the Void and maybe a couple of Relics or other graveyard hate cards in the main board. Seth you might’ve made my new favorite deck. i had a concept esper mill deck that ran hand disruption, mill, and surgical extractions. the deck would take cards out of the opponents hand and deck and then exile them with surgical extractions, and it was so much fun but it always felt like a bad deck. The win con was milling the opponent which is bad as it is and powers some opponents graveyard decks, and there was never a real upside to exiling the opponents cards. I made this deck maybe a year ago before the ravnica sets came out and I’m watching your video at like 1 am because I’m too excited to see how the deck will preform and just 10/10 I’m so happy to see this deck you made

It uses basic control elements with Drowned Secrets to supplement the yard and Phryexian Scriptures and Mnemonic Betrayal to set up Kaya's ultimate for a oneshot.

Not sure why you wouldn't play out the Seismic game one. You can continue to exile every nonbasic land they pitch to Assualt, and eventually either gain a bunch, kill them with Snaps (or they're forced to pitch lands to kill Snap), or deck them because then they don't have enough to kill you. @26:29, you could have played the Field of Ruin instead of the Polluted Delta, killed their Sheltered Thicket, then extracted all of them during their draw phase, possibly cutting them off of the third land drop, but at least taking out those sources of damage/land for them.
