@eepopgames2741
@eepopgames2741 5 жыл бұрын
Its a slim margin, but at 18:00, you could have Shoal'd for 3 life. Which would have ended up giving you one more turn, where if you had drawn another mana source you could have tried to combo again after the remand that happens at 19:56. You didn't have many lands to draw there, but it was a way to get one more roll of the dice. And given, with one less Shoal to use while comboing, it would be a little bit harder to win, so maybe its all a wash any way.

@ 31:20 if you had just not Nourishing Shoaled you may have been able to win. The next turn the opponent plays a Swiftspear and attacks, the following turn only attacks. You then drew the second green spell you needed to cast the Rider. Obviously you didn't know that but I also don't see the logic in trashing all your combo pieces to survive a turn or two longer, especially against a deck which can deal 3-4 damage a turn.

24:05 I think that you might be mulliganing a bit too aggressively. This particular hand looks like a keep to me. With Visions digging 3 cards deep, along with 3 draw steps and 3 lands, you are 65% to find a Neo or Evolution by T3, and 70% by turn 4. Against an unknown opponent, that sounds acceptable to me.

Why not Lightning Storm?
@vanish-2015
@vanish-2015 5 жыл бұрын
BlaineTog Lightning storm basically makes it so if the opponent has enough lands in hand they can also kill you with it, plus this deck is a little skimpy on lands. Things like worship, angel’s grace, a prevent damage spell, life gain, leveling of sanctity, and phyrexian unlife can really mess up the plan. Additionally it’s a non-creature spell that can be hit by negate and spell pierce, which both see more play than creature focused counters.

More scoop early complaints :p haha. Against burn you could have seen what you draw after grizzel dies and if you hit rider you could have still won. And then again you scooped to swiftspear when you werent dead haha. They needed to topdeck and at first you only needed a green card but nurishinged despite just needing them to whiff and even after that just needed to topdeck rider and them to whiff. You assumed they had you dead when they would have killed you if they did 🤓

Is this the future of MTG, indeed playing by yourself in a cubical of 2 by 2 on the 13th floor?? No need for a playgroup with this one... I agree with you Mark Gulbranson... yawningly boring.

With L. Mulligan neobrand became SO consistent with T1 kills. Not healthy for the format...
