The Spardew Crystals modifier is actually helpful - it will reduce early game hostility by raising the Queen's impatience. On the other hand, the point you were aiming for is in prestige 5 zone. Which, in principle, is not so difficult with your skill, but will most likely delay the game for more than 7 years. And then there is a possibility of not having time to reach the gold seal.

Got this game about 3 months ago and have 250 hrs logged already. It's taken over my free time. It's just Soo good! And I've only gotten consistent wins at prestige 1 as of now. This game is challenging and so unforgiving at times, but it's easily the best RTS I've ever played. Also I play almost exclusively on steam deck and it's actually quite easy to play on a handheld and runs well on the low graphics setting.

Awesome! I've been playing for about 2.5y and have over 200 hours since the steam launch ~1.5y ago. It's also one of my all-time favorite games.

The crystal settlement could be a fun challenge, but with a couple bad rolls it could delay us enough that maybe we don't make it to the seal. I'd avoid it. If we are still desperate for artifacts after seal and no good events nearby, maybe we do a daily challenge?
