This is most definitely a Dark souls and Elden ring inspired boss. She’s wearing a Gwyndolin-esque mask in her 2nd form and her body is a giant mess of branches like the Bed of Chaos. She also attacks in the same manner as Radagon from Elden ring. Like she swings the hammer exactly how Radagon does.

Explosion is genuinely really cool and I'm excited to see what PONOS does with it next. This might just be the best update of the past year if Dr Nova cat unit is just as good as you say. Dependent on stats obviously, but if it really is a no gacha Mitama with curse immune and sage slayer - especially considering how powercreeped starred UL is - the entire game might be about to blow up.

I was honestly disappointed seeing this boss get absolutely destroyed by IDI TF, but it honestly seems really fun without it. I think Ponos was trying to replicate what they did with relic-bun and Luza with the ‘this stage is very difficult, but you can get these units’ true forms to make it a lot easier’. My opinion on this stage will fully depend on when/how you get IDI TF

According to Battlecats lore she is the one responsible for creating not only IDI but all behemoth eggs and when the doge clan came across IDI’s egg it destroyed the laboratory of relics which produced the baron enemies we see in SOL trying to replicate the power Luza had in revival of origin. My question, is this the golden sage we were told to seek out? If it’s not her then who? I mean she probably desiccated the tree of origin to assist the cats in the present by leaving those ancient eggs for the cat army to find. Also luza being an ancient egg implies that Dr. nova was the one who planted the seeds for humanity to sprout.

Attempting Dr.Nova stage over 30 times feels like I have bad skill issue, since everyone tells it's very easy level. I found out the timing is not as easy as people said to be, and i'm sure the reason that level has some sort of challenge is because of Jackrabbit and Oldhorn. Oh yeah, Courier is not only for killing Jackrabbits, but is also good to snipe relic peons. The level is very punishing for a mistake.

That's really cool designed effect, much better than surge since it can create LD enemies that require timing your units so that they don't die. While surge just straight up kills anything that doesn't have immune to it. I don't know if I can still love blast when they gave it to a normal enemy without LD though, which basically just doubles their dps but at least it doesn't seem to have levels
