The " I'm the Law of Moses" line is just Wrong. Jesus Never claimed to be the Law Matthew 5:17 The Book of Hebrews states that Christ Jesus Is Greater Than the Law. Secondly, The Law of Moses does not consist of solely the 10 Commandments. These are only a Part of Torah. So many Christians see the Law, or at least the Commandments as " condemnation" God made a Covenant with Israel at Sinai. The Torah are laws of life. There are Law codes ( Mishnah) There are also Prophetic writings ( Nevim) And Psalms ( Ketuvim) The 10 Commandments were given to the Israelites By God as a rule to keep their lives straight and to keep their nation holy. They were set apart from others. God said to Abraham " Walk before me and be thou perfect!" While Jesus would be the embodiment Of the Law, He Never Said he was the Law.
