Your stam is draining while you bite because you have auto alt-bite enabled in the game settings. If you disable it, you will do normal small bites that dont take stam. Then if you bite while holding down the alt button, it will toggle alt-bite and you will chomp slightly faster. I think the only difference between normal bite and alt-bite is that alt-bite is a little faster, which is why it takes stamina.

As so many people already said, the isle is just too punishing when it comes to dying. What happened with Beaver after being attacked by two other deinos and his sadness right after is literally the summary of the isle gameplay and why its not satisfying to play in this stage it is at. It's not fun to be sad about lost progress and its not over-reacting to be even if its a game.

sure it's a survival game, but there's punishment in games and then there's just mechanics that simply make the game less enjoyable. the isle needs to find a better balance between "realistic survival horror" and "i actually want to continue playing this game". grow times are just too long for people to be reset to 0 so easily. i mean -- 5-6 HOURS for a deino?? and you can die in LESS than a minute (as beaver does in the video)???? you spend the majority of the game waiting to actually be able to play it (i.e., engage in combat or nest, the only two things you can really do in the game), and in the end most people die instantly or in a one-sided, 2 minute battle. i understand people love priding themselves on playing difficult games, but even dark souls doesn't delete all your equipment and make you start the entire game over every time you die.

The organs you shake out are always going to have the same diet icon as the body you shook them out of, the organs however still give different diets despite the icons being the same :D (Lungs = Dots, Heart = S, Intestines = Lines, Stomach = Whatever diet the corpse ate last before they died)

55:23 when you smell organs the game only shows you the diet of which the organ came from, so you have deinonychus organs there which are S for you, so they show up as S (even though they don't give you S). There are a couple types of organs, with lungs being hexagons intestines being lines and heart being s. It doesn't matter what kind of dinosaur the organs came from, this is consistent with all of them. I think they had a stomach at some point which was the last nutrient the dinosaur consumed, but I don't think it was ever added. Bones also give you a VERY small amount of every diet, which is why earlier you got all of them even though you only ate one thing.

Beaver, the reason why biting takes stam is because you have auto alt-bite turned on Turn it off, the problem goes away and you just have to hold alt while biting to do it Oh and also the croc is the only thing in the game where alt-biting takes stam, just fyi

the organs give different nutrients.the stomach and liver is the dots,heart is the S and the intestens are the 2 bars.also bones give all nutrients but only a little bit of each.the bones are for ceras and deinos only though so dont eat them as anything else.

Beaver you don't need all 3 nutrients sometimes it's best to have 2 of a nutrient then one other. Different nutrient combination have different effects. But try not to go for all of a single nutrient.
