For me, its almost bittersweet. My brother is drug addict. He has survived overdoses multiple times. Even though he is still alive hes no longer the brother I remember. Hes someone else. Someone not as nice, not as cool, not as handsome, not as suave, not as trustworthy. So this song makes me cry because I remember him the way he was and try to love him the way he is now. But in my heart of hearts I know my brother is dead and this other person took his place.

Jeremiah 29:11 " I know the thoughts I think towards you. thoughts of peace and to give you a hope and a future." May the peace of God comforts you were ever you go and may His favor continue to shine upon your path. You are an overcomer and your mind is getting stronger and better. when my aunt passed from cancer suddenly after being in remission for several years, I felt nothing. I didnt cry. I wasn't even grieving with the rest of my family. I remember thinking something was wrong with me, she was the glue in our family keeping everyone in touch and together. When she left my family split in two and took sides ripping each other apart from the inside out. When I walked into the bedroom where she sat, half knowing this would be the last talk I ever have with her, I told her I would look after her daughter, when the family split, I didnt do that. I didnt uphold my promise in my final moments with her. It wasn't until years later listening to this very song, that it all came rushing back to me. The emotions of what I had done, what I had said and most importantly. What I had promised. It felt like a title wave of emotions of years of buildup came out. We were like brother and sister me and my cousin. I really left that and let it go. It pains me to know how I acted in that time of my life, But that I do have a chance to be better.

I try not to regret, but one thing I regret is never telling a girl I knew for years that I loved her. Her presence lit up any room she entered, a gaze into her eyes replaced my problems with joy and warmth. Which is why if I like a woman I will tell her, even if she doesn’t like me back. That’s fine, not knowing if there was a possibility hurts more than rejection.

it makes me think that everything is going to be alright, it makes me feel every emotion at once, the song itself embodies what plain true happiness is, a content relaxed place. it bottles up every single moment that i have ever felt happy, and i think of every person that has made me feel happy. The song feels like a sigh of relief, like peace. it kind of feels like a dream. i’ve never felt the calm happiness that i’ve felt while listening to this song

This is one of the best compositions I have ever heard personally. It is so painfully beautiful. I ebb and flow between peace and gut wrenching pain. This is the epitome of a love so real/strong/faithful/true it hurts.

Agape is a Greek word used to describe the word for love in the New Testament translations. It’s means something like “the love that is shared” or “Gods love” or “the unconditioned” or “real love”.

I wrote this comment ~2 years ago. That was during my sophomore year of high school when I was virtual. I felt alone, even though I still had friends to talk to and find comfort in. But, I don’t think I really came to terms with feeling isolated at the time. I remember first hearing this song on tik tok and feeling strangely drawn to it and compelled to listen. Fast forward a couple of years and I’m now in my last semester of high school. I’ve since met and made a lot more great people and a beautiful and amazing and wonderful and supportive girlfriend who I would give the world to. Every now and then I think back abt this song and how when I first heard it, it sounded like a beacon of optimism. Now, somewhat nostalgic, I still feel the same and am excited for what the future has in store for me. I hope we all make it and find happiness in the end. ❤️

This makes me happy to be in my relationship. It’s going to end sooner because she’s going to college and I’m going on a 2 year mission for my church, but it gives me the mindset “be glad it happened, not sad that it’s over” that’s how I’m looking at it

Beautiful movie, beautiful song. The life we are living is full of so many ups and downs… but everyone will find some source of love and happiness. Just accept it when it comes. Embrace the bad times and help them help you grow from them.
