After I showed the usage of a product called 'Agartine' I now want also show how to use pure agar in cold and hot creams. Will the cream stand? I bought this product in a bio store.

Thanks so much for this video! Wished Gelatin as a whole was replaced by this amazing much safer and cruelty-free and nature-safer ingredient worldwide. Got a bucket of it myself and wanted to add that if anyone doesn't have these sold in convenience stores in their countries, they can try any shop that sells lab equipments too since this is also used as a high-level nutrition for organisms, just make sure the company that has made it approves oral consumption of it too.

I would like to use agar for a mousse cake recipe, if I am using cold whipped cream, and use your 1st method in the video, would it work? Also, should I add sugar into the agar or cream?

Seems Agar is a really good vegetarian substitute for Gelatine, would you say this is the best substitute or do you have an alternatives? I can't seem to find all the test result videos in english. Thank you.

Yes, Agar seems to be the only substitute for stable creams - of course I don't know if there are secret plants in other parts of the world that maybe work better ;) On my channel you can find a playlist which includes all the videos of the gelling agents test.

Dear.. is agar agar powder and strands beige same results?? I mean can I powder the strands and use it in place of powder??? Kindly advise plzzz

Hi. How to use agar in ice cream? If You add and boild that in water, adding water will spoil your ice cream base. And if You add agar to the milk, you will have to heat this mixture to boiling, what also spoil Your ice cream taste (milk shoudnt be boiled) . So will it work if you use agar with milk but heat that only to 85 C? Greetings!

Enjoyed watching although you're not clear with measurement in the second part. Did you follow packet measurements?

Yes, I followed the packet measurements. Normally 1 heaped tsp of agar is enough for about 400-500ml fluid. Normally.

can u please help me in understanding how to use agar as substitute for gelatin in fondant?

+Swapna Varkhedi Hi, sorry I haven't tried yet and have no experience. Some people say that you can also subsitute gelatin with agar in fondant, but you also have to add CMC (Carboxymethylcellulose) to keep it soft. And you have to boil agar for 1-2 minutes.

It's difficult. You have to boil the agar with about 100ml water for two minutes. Then put into the cream and whip. The problem: If the boiled agar mixture is too hot, the cream will flocculate, if it is too cold, agar will solidify and will not blend with cream. Agar solidifies at 35°C. And if cream is too warm you cannot make it fluffy. As I said: It's difficult and so I think you need more cream and have to do some trail&error, just acquire experience. Normally you do not put agar into whipped cream but whipping cream stiffener. But of course this just gives you a bit more firmness for a longer time, but not a cut-resistancy.

Madiha Naseem Kasmani it's extracted from a type of seaweed and can be used in place of gelatin in some cases as a thickening agent. ~Fun Facts~

No, you would just get a firm milk, like jelly, and not a fluffy cream.
