Agartala is the capital city of the Indian state of Tripura, which is located in the northeastern part of the country. It is one of the major cities in the region and serves as the administrative, cultural, and economic centre of the state. Agartala has a rich historical background and was once the capital of the princely state of Tripura. The city has witnessed a blend of cultural influences from various dynasties, including the Manikya dynasty and the Mughals.
Agartala is known for its vibrant culture, which is a mix of indigenous Tripuri culture, Bengali culture, and other northeastern Indian influences. The city celebrates various festivals and cultural events throughout the year. Agartala and its surrounding areas offer several tourist attractions. Some popular places to visit in and around the city include Ujjayanta Palace (Tripura State Museum), Neermahal Palace, Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Kamalasagar Lake.
Beating Retreat Ceremony at Akhaura Border (Indo-Bangladesh Border) - Inaugurated in 2013, the Agartala - Akhaura check post is the 2nd largest Indian trading centre with Bangladesh. It divides India and Bangladesh, along the border of Tripura. Lying about 6 km from the city of Agartala, the border boasts infrastructure that is similar to that of the famous Ataari-Wagah Border in Amritsar. The place is a popular tourist spot as visitors come here to witness the ceremony in which the flags of the two countries are lowered by security personnel with a mutually coordinated performance. Created with the aim of easy facilitation of goods and passengers beyond borders, it also helps foster the Indo-Bangladesh relations.

Thank you for making a video on Tripura/Agartala, Tripura is very close to my heart my Father is in BSF and I spent my childhood in different parts of Tripura and started my schooling in Agartala. I remember in 90's it was too difficult to reach Agartala as there were no train lines at that time and we had to take a bus from Guwahati that took more than 24 hours but now I see there are many developments in Tripura.

Tripura tourism should note the ordeals of travellers like you at the hotels in different parts of the state. Tripura is a tourist starved state and such attitude by the hotel staff will only worsen the situation.

Hi I too faced the same problem of showing marriage certificate in a hotel in ahmedabad, gujarat. Even though i was travelling with my husband only still they said u guys don't look married. Show us your marriage certificate n wedding pictures n what not. After arguing for almost 30 mins at 1 am in the morning finally he gave us the room. N cited some stupid reasons for not giving the room. Police people check hotels at night n all. Anyhow we too had worst experience at that hotel but rest of our trip was superb. So its not only in tripura it happens in other cities n states too.

The items which you've tested is all Bengalis one and not tripuris, atleast you should've visited to a tribal areas, majority tourists are always visiting to agartala and they would see only Bengalis so obviously they would think and consider that no tribal are here. The things you ate in agartala aren't the traditional food at all if you really want to have or see the the raw culture of tripura then you should explore in the tribal areas especially the villages where you'll get an authentic and organic food as well as lifestyle

Those who looks like main land they're all Bengalis not tribal, you would hardly see tribal in Agartala so to find some tribals PPL you have to visit to a small villages.
