Hello! First visit, loved the treasure hunt! I’m in Michigan where we hunt for tiny fragments of those giant boulders of agate. Still just as beautiful, but to have such great pieces of agate to choose from, I’d be saving up for an oil saw. Wonderful video, subscribed!

Went there - 80ish miles. Had to see those jasper boulders. Lots of red. Many of the jaspers were “chunky” vs. “massive” with less “healed” fractures. We decided to let those cook for another couple of million years. Thanks.
@QuestForDetails4 жыл бұрын
Im going to try and cut and polish some soon and see if it will hold together, I like the word "Healed " I think thats a great term for the filling in of the fractures, Im learning , slowly but surely, thanks for sticking with me , if you ever wander back out let me know, thats my area : )
@lightbeing95284 жыл бұрын
While out there I picked up a small (smaller than a fist) jasper and told my buddy that it could be cut to yield one nice slab. I got that one and one slightly thinner that are stunning. I worked it on a flat lap and made a beautiful multi-angled pendant. I wish that I could post a photo of it. In the field we broke a chunky piece along fractures to get to a very solid piece. It slabbed well. Beautiful stones but I prefer the jasper out of Kelsey Creek as it seems to be more “massive”. Thanks for sharing both of those beautiful places. I’ll be taking a lockdown escape day trip (150 miles) to Kelseyville soon. How do I communicate with you directly?

That Jasper Boulder with the Pinks and Yellows. That is gorgeous. And I go crazy when I see stones with "Eyes" in them. Great find. Edit: I have really enjoyed hearing talk about nature. I'm in Heart Butte, Montana. If you are ever rockhounding anywhere near Glacier National. Please lemme know. My wife and I would love to take a nature walk with you. Just talking about how beautiful every ounce of being is.
