Yes “teen” is British in real life, the actors name is Joe Locke this is the second show that he’s done he has also just done a Broadway show. He’s on a British show on Netflix called heartstopper, that is the first show he has ever acted in

There aren't any slow moments in the show, it's just that you, like many MCU viewers, just want action all the time. It's building a world and story, be patient.
@mon_arkYT3 күн бұрын
Not the case at all. As I stated in the video, Andor is one of my favorite shows and is way slower than this. The difference is that the characters and story are far more engaging. People need action all the time is one of the most overused excuses for people saying it’s slow. This show just hasn’t quite gotten there yet. Not saying it can’t, but it’s for sure taking its time.

Wanda's kids were real. Just not human. More like magical constructs. Remember, Wanda is a reality warper and spontaneous creator (as per the Darkhold), so she can spontaneously create life forms and matter. They're just dependent on her magic to exist like we are dependent on our environment and its elements to survive and exist.

I believe this show was specifically made for people who loved the character Agatha and who like witches, not necessarily for people who like superheroes or who are expecting it to have a huge impact in the main storyline. I apreciate your effort for trying to see the show, but as a viewer there is nothing worse that a reactor that has to drag themselves to watch a show they don't really want to watch. I know you say you're a completionist, so one option could be to wait for the end, watch all the episodes at once and upload a single video of your honest opinion of the complete show. With the 100+ tv shows that are out there, I think you could discover the one you find engaging and the one to fill the void.

I still wanna see his reaction though. I think the series started powerfully. I’m not saying this is him but a lot of whiny Marvel fanbois on the internet really hated this series before it ever began. I’m so glad the series has had a strong start. I’m really interested in the reactions of the “real Marvel fans”.

I totally agree with you. I almost clicked away because of how irritating the intro was to me.
@mon_arkYT12 сағат бұрын
I’m a reaction channel. It’s kinda the gig to react and review weekly. I get where you’re coming from but as a big Marvel fan, I wanna be apart of the weekly discussions. It’s way more fun and engaging. Whether that’s negative or positive is totally up to how the show makes me feel.
@michellestone6584Күн бұрын
….that intro felt really weird to me. Were you implying that marvel has gone “woke” and abandoned it’s “true fanbase?” I’ve never seen this channel before but you mentioned you loved Andor and that show is super “woke.” To me, your intro just read as being against camp media and lgbtq and female-centered storylines. It felt like you had a really strong preconceived notion and were set on being negative before you started.. obviously you were enjoying it. But it felt strange to see you pull back at the end and even in these comments I read your replies in which you’ve said you didn’t enjoy these episodes… but I saw you laugh… and get scared.. and emote. You mentioned how “people” are not loving the show-I haven’t seen that. I’ve only seen the occasional angry male youtuber give a negative review but they have disliked every female- centric marvel show or they actively hate the lgbtq community. So I’m confused as to where this rumor is coming from that everyone hates the show-the reviews aren’t supporting that either.
@mon_arkYT12 сағат бұрын
Not implying that at all. I actually fall in the camp that hates the word woke. I was simply coming at this as someone who has been consistently let down by a lot of the Disney plus stuff and has been very hesitant as of late. Has nothing to do with any of that stuff. But you’re implying that I said I didn’t like the first two episodes? That just confuses me because if you watched the video all the way through, I said these episodes were OK. A lot better than I thought they would be, but fine at the end of the day. Not all the preconceived notions are coming from a place of spite. It’s simply that the track record doesn’t give me confidence in a lot of upcoming projects.Simple as that

Typically I really enjoy your reactions, but this one didn't quite hit for me. Honestly kind of bummed me out because I saw your upload and got so excited. I really like your Korra/ATLA reactions, but that world is much more action packed and I know the story beats by heart so when I watch I'm mostly anticipating you reacting to my favorite moments. For this it just seemed like you were really impatient and even aware of your own impatience at some points. I know a couple commenters have already pointed out that the pacing is a part of the worldbuilding, but you did state that you were struggling to fill the silence. Maybe during those moments you don't really need to fill the silence and just let it unfold. After all, we didn't know what was going on in WandaVision for multiple episodes. Complaining that it feels slow because you don't know what the characters are talking about/have no context and that the dialogue is "word salad" is a weird take. It's like a glaring beacon almost of the writing telling you "pay attention to this" or "remember this for later". I watch your reactions because you're very insightful, but this reaction seemed like you just went into it expecting something else and didn't like how the story was packaged and therefore were focused on that rather than the story itself.
@mon_arkYT3 күн бұрын
The thing about doing reactions is that your audience is expecting you to talk and react. That's kinda of just how it works. So me just stitting there and letting things unfold without commentary isn't as entertaining now is it? If I were to do that, this would've been a silent reaction because majority of these first two episodes was setup with not much commentary to add. As I stated before on another comment, slow and steady can be a real winner when done right. Andor and now The Penguin are two prime examples of this. The characters and storylines in those 2 shows are engaging from the get-go yet a slowburn. I mean the episode of the penguin that just came out is basically a straight hour of dialogue with about 2 minutes of action, yet was miles better than these first two episodes. Trust me, I know I seemed impatient, but I reall wasn't. If anything I was just bored at times. This is also stemming from me being let down by a lot of these D+ projects. We've seen so many at this point that sometimes the writing is on the wall as to if it's going to be good or not. And with most of the Marvel ones, they take a really long time to get going and then have rushed or flat endings. I'm hoping this ones different but you can't blame me for being hesitant. But overall I enjoyed it more than I thought, so that's atleast a plus.

@@mon_arkYT Hey I really appreciate your response. After I had commented I was a bit worried I came off insulting or overly critical, but I appreciate that you're willing to engage with constructive feedback and willing to expand on your stance/feelings about your statements. At the end of the day, how you react on your own channel is entirely up to you. Personally, I don't mind reactions that are silent, but I know I might be in the minority of people who watch reactions when I say that. I think feeling let down or disappointed by a lot of media lately can definitely lower our expectations in a way that would result in the feelings you had during those slower parts, so I don't want to discount that perspective. I don't really engage with a lot of Marvel material anymore since nearly walking out of Multiverse of Madness. I like Scarlet Witch as a character and watched AAA because of its adjacency/continuation of Wanda's story. At the end of the day, I'm glad you enjoyed it. It seems like it's been somewhat polarizing for the characterization to some people. I really enjoyed it. I hope that they're able to build and deliver something satisfying. Kathrym Hahn, Aubrey Plaza, Patti LuPone and Joe Locke are great actors. I've never seen Sasheer Zamata in something within the sci fi or fantasy genre, but she's got great comedic timing in everything else she's been in. I hope the writing allows everyone to really chew the scenery in a way that speaks to their talent and adds to a great story. Looking forward to the rest of your reactions.

My guess is Wanda’s last spell she cast destroyed the dark hold and protected her children maybe from Agatha because with her death the hex on her is weakened that’s why she can’t hear anything about teen. Or he’s her son. They Salem seven were her grandchildren in the comics but I don’t think it’s that for the show

The most irritating reaction I’ve ever seen on KZbin. I’m so glad I’m not part of your generation because the movie the exorcist you would probably find it very very slow until the last 20 minutes of the film that’s considered a masterpiece. Just like the shining My god dude if you’re used to one certain genre, then stick to it don’t jump onto another genre, but you really don’t care about just for clicks and views. It’s not manly or adult like in my opinion. Smh
@mon_arkYT7 сағат бұрын
You obviously did not watch the entire thing. I really like The Excorcist and LOVE The Shining by the way. Comparing those two movies to this show is a nothing comparison. And I could say the same thing about you. If your not used to criticism, then why engage with it and accuse that someone is doing it for "clicks and views"? Not manly or adult like in my opinion. Smh

25:07 I think the Clairvoyant Witch is there for foreshadowing purposes and I hope it will pay off. I feel like the writing could be better. Like why in the Phineas and Ferb would she say "Coochie coochie coo". Though I'm glad she got out of Wanda's spell early on since the show within a show has already been done before.
@mon_arkYT3 күн бұрын
"why in the Phineas and Ferb" lol Ya there was for sure some real hits and real misses when it came to humor.
@krztophr3 күн бұрын
Coochie coochie coo was just a cheesy joke to Rio saying tickle... since its a phrase often used when you tickle a baby.
@christiandnl3 күн бұрын
Lol, I've watched a couple reactions to AAA and I'm starting to realize how "Coochie coochie coo" is kind of indicative of the writer's/viewer's age group. Older reactors realize instantly that it's a callback to nursery rhymes while younger viewers who didn't recognize it, grew up after nursery rhymes sort of fell out of favor tend to be really confused when she says it.

I'm glad you enjoyed the eps after all, and that you pointed out that a proper review requires seeing the whole series. I'm loving this so far! But what do you mean this leaving "the general audience" behind?
@mon_arkYT3 күн бұрын
I just simply meant that this isn't your average MCU project, which is not a bad thing. I'm actually liking the different take so far despite some tonal issues I have. But my main concern is how this is gonna resonate with the general audience who aren't as into this stuff as we are. They might see it, say "it doesn't feel like Marvel" and skip out on it, which I already know is happening. I'm at heart a Marvel fan and a completionist, so I'm watching regardless, but that's not majority of the audience. Thanks for the support though, I really appreciate it!!
