can some one tell me? with it revealed this was billy's hex, could anybody explain to me more on how Alice's road was written this way? I feel like I am missing some details in my head other than her role as protector, given the opportunity to break the curse?

I think she broke the curse simply by singing the song in general? I feel you it is a bit confusing, but my personal theory is she was able to sustain from the curse for so long because it’s a popular protection song that millions of people probably always sing or have on in the background, but still it couldn’t sustain from her life still being in a rut. Only being able to keep her at least alive. & I personally think when she sings the song & therefore gains her confidence she breaks the curse. Feel free for anyone to correct me, it’s just how I’ve been seeing it.
