She is saying only about Karnataka... And not any other states.. 2023-24 maharastra min age is 6yrs but as on Dec 31 for that particular year. Means it's 3.5 years as on June 1st.

Cbse Age Criteria for Class 10, As per the guidlines of central board of secondary education the minimum age for class 10th CBSE is 14 years , as of 31st december of the year of examination. Stream after 10th. However, there is no upper 10th exam age limit of age to appear in the exam.

Hi Ma'am, Last Academic year 2023-24 my daughter took admission in pre nursery at that time her age was 2years 6months and school had no objection. Now they are saying that due to new education policy she has to repeat the class as her age will be 5.6years and the criteria to get in to 1st is 6years. In class of 25 kids only 4 children are been asked to do so, 21 are been promoted to LKG and 4 are sent to nursery. This is very disheartening. Plz guide

Hi does my child need to mandatorily complete 3 years of education before sitting in class 1. He will turn 3 years old in January 2024 & I have found a school which has Play School, Nursery & KG as the pre-primary. There is no compulsion by the school to attend Play School for being admitted to Nursery. I don't want him to waste time at play school and then get to Nursery. Can we opt for his admission in Nursery in 2025 when he turns 4, so that he attains the age of 6 by 2027 & gets to class 1. Few Schools say it's mandatory for a child to have 3 years of formal schooling before entering class 1 and few say it's not needed. Please clarify.

Mam, my kid is born on 16 may 2021. In NCR area . They take cut off date as 31 march. According to that my child who will be 6 + on 16 may 2027 will will be admitted to UKG on 1 st April 2027 and he will unnecessarily lose an year when he ll eligible for class 1 if cut off is 1 st june.
