age gap gay couple here too...21 year gap...35 year relationship/marriage, now 85 and 64. Many aches and pains but basically both healthy. Older was super worried about gap at first, younger was not. Younger had big midlife anxiety in late 40's and 50's and was very promiscuous, older stuck with it and did not give an ultimatum. Lived apart for several times for couple of years, mostly due to jobs...actually helped in maintaining relationship as we could get a break from each other. Now, younger looking at retirement and assisting older in final years, older concerned about leaving the younger alone after passing. So many changes over the years, many experiences, property, animals. Mike was super cute in the video...clearly uncomfortable about having the camera on him, nervously played with feet, but a good sport.

This was a very interesting video. TBH I don’t think I could do it. My exhusband was only 7 years older than me. Even with that, he did earn significantly more than me and we split things 60/40. This allowed me to afford things that I couldn’t usually afford. It didn’t bother me and now he pays me alimony and that’s also fine. Also we went to 70 countries and we got the bed thing a lot, just like you guys, you just deal with it. We even had once an obviously gay guy in Peru at a Hilton make a big deal about it. We got told all the time that we were brothers, even though we don’t look anything alike. You guys seem to make each other happy and I do wish you all the best and just keep enjoying each other. My family lives in the Villages, so hopefully everyone is ok with the Hurricane, stay safe!

As a gay man, marred w/2 sons and dated younger men, I’m familiar with your situation. Appears you have things worked out. Your husband and I (in our 60’s) are direct and no longer care what people think. Most couples don’t make the same amount of money and your husband understands that. You’re in your 30’s and are where you should be in maturity. Live and enjoy. As they say in CA-it’s all good.

I lost my husband of 33 years on 7/10/24 it's very recent and raw still for me. I've been approached by men socially younger than me I'm 62 well preserved lol and these men are younger in their 30s and 40s i was flattered but let them down kindly and they were very sweet and understanding. I'm attracted to men of all ages but the age going forward will be a factor so I enjoy hearing your perspectives about on your relationship it's inspiring for when I'm ready to invest into a new relationship if ever. Your both lucky to have found each other loves never easy but it's worth it, build your life memories together, my memories keep me going. God bless and be well.

I hope you all get to experience what we did. Despite our 14-year age difference, I’m the younger one, and over time, as my career progressed and my partner moved towards retirement, our financial contributions shifted. But at this point in our relationship, it no longer matters, as everything goes into our joint account and we share it all equally.

I think the percentage is the way to go. Like Mike said he doesn’t want to sit in coach he wants you there with him. Gold diggers have a whole different life on the side. Their own friends, activities and they usually disappear for a few days with a vague story. Gold diggers have no guilt, embarrassment and definitely no shame at being a user. The relatives, don’t let them bother you it’s really not about them regarding your relationship. Oh I knew you’re being your real self in your videos because you’re so kind and true

Why is it so difficult for people to just simply wish happiness for people without throwing in their brand of negative personal judgement about other people lives. Community, but with plenty of gay shade. I knew the biggest thing people would automatically assume is Nick is a gold digger. But I have been noticing how age gap relationships work for quite sometime now. And I understand that they are usually the same 50-50 life as any gay couple lives. Now, I know that Nick had his past issues and clearly wasn’t making money to travel all over Asia as they did. And I noticed the places they stayed were 5 Star, 4 Star minimum. So obviously Nick wasn’t affording this from what I think I know about him. But I also know that Nick is a very honest person when it’s important to be honest. Now, I won’t count any time under the addiction period. Because drugs clearly distorts reality in a way that isn’t necessarily conducive. This is the fair thing to do to eliminate this period and not use to it decide the character of a person. But I noticed how Mike appeared to have an open mind about these issues. And it appeared that Nike felt lucky to have such an understanding individual in his life. Some people can’t imagine how that feels. I’ve been there in my past. Not drug related, but a different flaw of mine that isn’t important here. Nick is a committed type of person that, if anyone was not so quick to judge a person, could see him as the person he is actually. Mike is a beautiful soul that knew Nick from the past, had an attraction, and explored it. And exploring still, because every relationship should be doing. I am happy that they are getting along, appear happy, and hope they can always find themselves together. And forever, whatever their forever might be. ❤

Liked the video so much that I just subscribed! First, let me start by saying that, as an 'older' gay man, your video gives me hope of still finding my soul mate. I love how the two of you seem to truly accept and respect one another's differences while focusing on (and celebrating ) the many positives in your relationship. You're both truly lucky to have found one another but you seem to know that already. Secondly, let me also say that, speaking solely for myself, I i am especially glad to see two gay men who don't fit the 'stereotypical' definitions of what gay men are supposed to look and sound like. One if my 'problems' is that although I am a gay man, I'm still just a regular guy... meaning that being gay isn't the ONE THING by which I define myself. It's a part of who I am, but I don't make it THE thing by which I define myself as a human being. I'm also naturally masculine, which is not meant to cast any aspersions on my more-effeminate brethren as I have just as much love and respect for them as for anyone else. But as a 'masculine' gay man I have found that I often find myself feeling a bit out of place when I am in the company of other gay men. For example, one of the things I love is to do my own automotive mechanical work on my cars whenever I can. Yet I also can decorate a home like nobody's business too! But, unfortunately, because I am what i consider to be just a 'regular' guy, I find that this is often an impediment to meeting other men because I'm so often perceived as being straight. Anyway, I particularly enjoyed watching your video as it appears to me that you are two regular guys who also happen to be gay - to which I can strongly relate. And I especially like the candid way in which you both discuss your relationship issues in a way that makes your message universally relatable - regardless of one's sexual orientation. Looking forward to your future videos. Hoping that Helene and Milton were kind to you guys! Keep up the great work. ❤

Nick- I loved your age gap relationship video. My name is Andrew I am 61 years old. My partners name is Matthew he is now 23 this January will celebrate 4 years together. We talked for 6 months before we even meet, we dated long distance for 1 year, I was seeing someone and had a full life. The beginning of our second year he said he was NOT seeing anyone else. I had a thousand reasons to not go “all in” with Matthew, just like you mentioned in the video. But I wanted to, I loved him. I was just scared. So after some soul searching and a little bit of what the hell! We became boyfriends. That same year he came on several trips with me. It was amazing, he moved in with me 2 years ago this coming November and our life together has been pretty amazing. Yes like all the things you said in your video are 100% - I wanted to thank you both. I will watch more of your videos to catch up.

for myself personally, the only issue with a significant age difference between (same-sex) partners is a risk imbalance. an older partner bears a much greater risk of being left precisely at a time when he is most in need of companionship but no longer has options he once had due to an advancing old age, while a younger partner is still in his relative youth or prime and could easily pick up the pieces and move on. while partners being more or less in the same age group is definitely no guarantee of a relationship longevity, one's chances of being tossed overboard would, on average, be lesser.
@call28723 ай бұрын
The scariest part about big age gap is that there is a bigger chance that the older guy may pass on first. This leaves the younger partner all alone. Depressing. On another note, it made the happy, healthy years together far more precious.
@AuthenNick3 ай бұрын
Yes, this is very true and a reality but in any relationship, anybody could pass away at any time in normally someone dies first and leaves the other person feeling sad so it’s definitely a tough one. Enjoy the moment while you have it.❤️

My experience with an older guy is that some of them are similar to younger guys. Sadly some of them are obsessed with being in the gay society and not being their own individual. I had a guy that was ashamed to take me out in public except for at night and he was older than I was. I think you can be in gay clicks at any age. I'm sure there are some wonderfully mature older gay that are available, but you just have to be in the right social group to meet them.

Unless the older dude has money, or position. Mike is thanking his lucky stars that this younger guy doesn't have the same expectations of him. Nick is one in a million. And as he gets older he'll see why Mike is the one who really made out here. The older one gets, the more important youth becomes.

I used to date an older man, but we broke up because of the money thing. He wanted to pay for everything and I couldn't accept that. I will never be a sugar baby, so it didn't work. He told me I was being silly, but I've always been independent and the fact that he had more money made me extremely uncomfortable, it felt like I was on unbalanced territory. He had more power than me in a sense, I felt like I had to go along with everything, because I couldn't keep up in that sense. I was like 24 at the time and he was a stablished 48 year old man. Don't know if someone has felt like that.

I found this timely and interesting. I have met and developing a very nice relationship with a much younger man. He is actually younger than my adult children. I'm getting push back from my kids, especially my sons, about this. I think my greatest concern is for him because if nature rules and we stay together, he will be the one who will be alone again. I've had to let that be his decision.

Mike is giving alpha daddy energy. Totally get why a younger guy would fall for him. He's really hot.

Sometimes I forget that my husband is 12 years older than me. I’m 39 and he is 51. I’m almost as old as he was when we met. He had just turned 40. Took me a while to get him to grow a beard as he didn’t like that it was more grey than just a goatee. Now, his beard is pretty grey and some white with no dark color. I’m getting just a few visible grey hairs in my beard now. I sometimes wonder if people realize we are a couple when we are out. When we went to Alaska last year for a month we had several times where they apologized about not having two beds and then quickly said or maybe I didn’t get that wrong. They for the most part don’t care in Alaska, which I was surprised.

Aweee how long have you guys been together? And ya I wouldn’t think the people in Alaska would care to much considering it’s such a touristy place they probably see a lot and want people to have a good time to come back and recommend them

11 Years so far. 5 years married. The first 3 years were long distance, but only like 1-1.5 hours drive away. Still, it was difficult to have the time to visit as it was the busiest that I ever have been those first years. The rest living together and even moving across the United States from OH to OR and leaving most of my family/friends behind.

Alaska had high same sex marriage support even way back in the late 90s apparently. So, I don’t think it’s tourism alone. The only place we had some uncertainty is this guy that was telling us about all these “fishing spots”. Like we were there to fish, which could be a homosexual couple doing that too, but we were there to whale watch mostly. Almost all the smaller trips were couples.

Gay people insisting others accepting them for being gay & then turning around to other gay people and insisting that they should be the exact same kind of gay as themselves DOESN"T Work ! ........Give other ther respect you expect others to give to you.
