Just discovered you guys and am playing catch up now. Not understanding why there's such a big fuss on age gap. It's not a new concept. My parents were 17 years apart and they married in the 1950's. Their relationship lasted and was true to the vow of "'til death us do part". We were a happy family. Then moving forward, I got a couple of brothers who followed in the footsteps of my parents. Like I always say, age is a number and matter most as to when we can do things legally (enter clubs, drink, drive, vote??? 🤔). The heart is more important as it is the foundation of a relationship and it will carry you through the toughest of times. More power to you and love, love, love away...

I can absolutely see you both getting in love in the restaurant setting in Middle East. The man is a charming well-dressed Aussie and the lady is a petite and competent hotel server or chef. THe man probably made the lady laugh a bit, and had nice little talks, and eventually the lady's friends tell her how come she always talks to them about this man, which makes the lady realize that she can't get him and his little jokes out of her mind. And, the man realizes he can't get this charming lady out of his mind. This is what happened to me and my wife. I'm 7 years older than her and we will be celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary this year. We have two children 26Male and 19Female. My question is: did the former boyfriend freak out because she was always telling stories to her friends and family about the man?

Been there done that and it did not work. I’m not saying it won’t work for you both. What you have to watch out for is about a decade from now, jealousy will creep in. The older husband will become paranoid that his wife is still young enough to find someone else. That toxic jealousy can ruin a good relationship.
