Firstly I watched her Yiddish comedy characters - then her brilliant singing-Oy yoy yoy what fantastic music and voice! Ms. Rose is a Maven who brings mamaloshen to millennials and beyond !!! I love the old school style as someone growing up in a Yiddish speaking family my favourite songs are: Ale Brider and Oyfn Pripetshik ❤❤❤

What an incredible voice! Periel’s reaction to the singing is how I imagine everyone listening looked when hearing this amazing singing. Grew up yeshivish and have gaps in my pop culture knowledge and basic experiences that are missed out on in that sheltered community. Great episode!

I'm not a singer, but I know the feeling of "being in the zone" that Modi describes from when I've played music on stage. It's such a magnificent feeling. Like a runners high but time seems to move differently, everything else fades into the background.

I love Riki. G-d bless you both! Tears are flowing as I’m listening to this. Please, please please relay to Riki that she needs to listen to two women: Ofra Haza (Riki will be blown away!) Etta James. (Totally different and not Jewish but amazing.) Perriel, you were absolutely correct about Amy Winehouse. I would love to have seen Riki when she heard her sing. A tremendous loss to the Jewish people and the world. Shows the terrible risks of hanging out with people who are on a bad (drugs) path.

Wow!! She's great!! Total Mashiach Energy here! But I have to say that I'm super curious as to how Yiddel knew about her voice. I get that at that moment, maybe it would have been rude of him to have gotten up and walked away, but it was clear from the story that he had heard her voice beforehand 🤔

Questions- Interesting that Riki sings Avrohom Fried in Litvish Yiddish. Will there be a version of her album in Litvish for those who don't understand Ingarish Yiddish? If Riki wears a tichel does that mean she is married?

I certainly see your point that the difference in pronunciation between the two dialects makes it seem like two languages but they are usually written the same.
