I've watched quite a few Oranos vs. Egyptian matches, but I don’t understand why players for the most part go heavily into Contarius. Egyptians not only have Spearmen but also Camel Riders that most Egyptian players already tech into naturally. I get that you have a lot of initial momentum with Contarius (and Chaos takes care of the Camels for a little bit), but once that fades, it's an uphill battle because you can't win any direct confrontations. Wouldn’t Destroyers be a better choice? They can tank Chariot Archers effectively and quickly raze Migdols, and they are not that slow with Oranos' infantry speed bonus. Egyptian's only counter really is the Axemen, but you’d have Arcus, Satyrs, and Prometheans to deal with those. Plus, if you already go Hekate, you might as well utilize those myth unit upgrades for those Prometheans. In my experience, this composition has worked well, even against much higher-rated Egyptian players. You have an extremely strong front line and you force the Egyptian player out of their comfort zone from what they would usually build. I’d love to hear your thoughts-am I overlooking something?

Nice analysis, and destroyed mixed in are actually quite good as well but it’s a bit harder to mass them since usually you don’t have that many palaces in the mid game The other main reason people spam contarious is their cost and utility, esp their contarious they’re incredibly cheap to make I made a tier list video ages ago and I had contarious in the s tier, imo it’s one of the best units to make - I also think you have validity in your points but in a real world game at the top it’s just much harder to spam destroyers so people end up going for contarious I do think in the late game we should be switching to an infantry based comp of arcus destroyer fanatic and murm though, esp bite of the shark murmillos

Great video, Magic! I have a suggestion: Can you do a video on how to improve mechanics? I have no idea how to get to click as fast as you or how you move and create actions in so many zones of the map at the same time.

Great vídeo. Im begginer in aom, learnig a lot with your vídeos. ID chave some difficult in counter opponent army, it would be nice a video showing how indentify and counter enemy units and strategy effectively

Great content as always Magic!. Always learning from the 🐐. I agree Oranos have a lot of potential to be one of the top gods, but, looks like no one is capable to figure it out yet: is the lowest used god in the game (even in tournament games) and has the second lowest win % rate of all the gods. I personally think the last 'balance patch' was too much nerf, increasing the favor and wood cost of the sky passages. I guess we gonna need Armycore back to the competitive scene to bring Oranos to the place what he deserve: 'S tier' god.
