Regarding the Roc, Magic has said that he mostly uses it to scout but that in battles he also uses it to tank ranged attacks. For peak efficacy he advises to fly it directly over the top of the attacking units, which apparently best reduces their accuracy.

It's nice to see Ra do well but at the same time I have doubts about this strategy being viable long-term - feels like the game really could've just ended at 6:24 if Ragnerox had chosen to press the attack instead of retreating.

I like to agree but it's probably not smart diving 2 TC a tower Pharoah priest wedjet with 2 heros a minotaur 1 horse and one tower, his army a little later probably could of dived I think

I think here IamMagic was fine - but I think against 1 TC agression this just does not work as they can have ~15 units when you want to age up which makes diving against a Priest, a Pharao and a Wadjet very possible. Would like to see what he does against this.

The laser croc does 10 damage a second and it burns for so many seconds, hard one to understand haha maybe its for 2 seconds based on its attack speed

I have a bit of trouble understanding priests and pharohs; they deal MASSIVE dmg to mythics but seem to deal almost nothing otherwise. Wouldn't it be better for them to heal and let other deal the dmg? How do I bet make them heal? Do I just press heal on a target and tell will continue to hela or do I make them passive?

Priests are a hero unit which primarely focused on being anti myth unit. Priests and the Pharaoh can also heal, all you have to do is either press right click on an ally unit (a heart icon will appear when dragging your mouse over the ally unit which is hurt) and the Priest / Pharaoh will automtically heal that unit until It's full health. Alternstively you can use the short it Q with the Priest selected. If you are out of combat, the Priest or Pharaoh if don't do anything, will automtically heal any unit close by that is hurt. For example if you have and army and 6 Priests, if you move them somewhere and then all the units have nothing to attack, all the Priests will automtically start healing any damage ally unit in range of them. Take into account that your Pharaoh like Amanra says, is your most powerful unit and you get *only* one, if he dies, you lose him for the entire match unless you go Osiris and get the upgrade he provide which makes your Pharaoh respawn and have a second one. Your Pharaoh should be out of combat cause you can lose him quite easily there and should be used primarely for economic stuff since with his empowered ability (the sun light effect one) he can make buildings build much faster and if he empowered a gather drop off site like a gold mine, a town center, wood mine etc. whenever a villager drops a resource there, it will give you bonus extra resource. Your Pharaoh can also make units train faster by empiwering empiwering any building that trains any unit. He is most often better used at the resources bonus empower. That should solve most of your questions. If you want healing and anti myth stuff being either myth units since they have bonus dmg versus other myth units or better yet a hero unit like the Priests.

Depends if you are going to use the favor. In this case Ra really didn't need it for this strategy.

Why Toxotes and Hippeus? Should've Peltast and Podromos to counter Ra's build. Podromos could even counter camels and elephants if it did go there. Also he lost the aggression window and barely made any mythic unit. Weird.

You are party correct however Camels also have a major versus against all calvarly units so they should be able to come on top of the prodromos due to being a higher tech unit

Unfortunately, Ra is the weakest Egyptian god at the moment. The Migdol Stronghold unit's +15% HP is useless now because of Ballistics , and they don't even have the original +12% speed anymore which could help them avoid arrow projectiles when moving.

Im kinda surprised seeing Ra winning a high elo game. From all what i heard is, that ra is one of the worst major gods atm. His rain feels kinda pointless if u have so much food available around ur base anyway (which is even faster).. I really hope the egypts in general get som unit or god power buffs... locus feels weak compared to a lot of other age 3 god powers

It really depends, you can bring any God to high level if your decision making and experience is good enough, all the rest is just optimization and optimal choices. He is not as good as other Gods but he is by no means a God that automatically loses a battle with an opponent simply for picking Ra.
