Atalanta is a she, not a he. She was the fastest runner in Greek myth, and would only marry a man who could beat her in a footrace. Many suitors tried and failed, but her eventual husband won by running smarter, not harder-he distracted her by throwing shiny golden apples across her path, allowing him to overtake her, tortoise-and-the-hare style, when she got distracted and chased after the apples. Greek should've gone 3 tc earlier. Greek is known for extended classical age with their pop efficient army and then go quickly to mythic.

Going Fast Heroic for greek usually is a weak response to Eggy 2 TC .. you get behind on economy and their god powers push are hard to defend without a good economy to replace units.

he has to use ceasefire at end of the ancestor. he used it at beginning. I think expansion was a mistake as well. he should rush mythic age and get earthquake because earthquake would allow him to do timing attack to hurt his opponent resources. when your behind, you want hurt enemies resources to put them behind. Not expand to try catch-up because enemy is just going attack you to prevent expand since they're ahead.

How did he use the ceasefire? Isn't Eclipse blocks other god powers? New to the game, personally, just seen it in the description some day.

Eclipse doesn't block God powers, but Isis monuments do (maybe they changed it, but thats how it used to be in OG), and Isis is the biggest abuse of the Ancestors Eclipse combo

Not easy to fight against Egypt as there is hard counter to all from barrack since Classical Age, so you need more than 1 unit composition to fight, else Egypt will mass counter against. Best possible way would be mass myth units (not care on what human soldier Egypt build) and Raid Egypt gold to reduce amount of Priest able to build. No need to care much on Egypt myth units as Egypt have slowest startup Favor generation, hard to catch up with other.

Odin is very strong, and Loki is pretty good too from what I've seen. Loki is probably a bit on the weaker side.

Norse always been a little bit of the underdogs, although later into EE they definitely had a glow up. For a long time Isis and Zeus were just so good that is basically all we would see. Odin is really solid though, and a good Loki player will make your life hell. Thor is the only one who I dont think has ever really been in the spotlight, although hes not bad, just takes more work than some of the other gods.

If this were vanilla I'd agree with you but Norse feel extremely strong in Retold, at least in my opinion. I think Odin and Thor might be two of the most powerful Major Gods in the game.

rts games in general seem to be like this. In high elo most of the times if you make a mistake your opponent will take advantage from that in a way that its almost impossible to comeback. This particular game however was surrendered a bit too fast imo. Blue couldve used his resources and try to utilize the bronze god power to make a play that could get him back in the game
