OBR are obviously my favorite faction LOL. I absolutely love their playstyle. It's never too late to collect them, just get a vanguard, katakros, 2 box deathriders, 2 box mortek, 4 box stalkers/immortis, boneshaper and soulmason and you have pretty much any list you want!

I think he missed the extra attacks on the krox thinking the whole skink unit needed to die. It's unfortunate because that may have been the difference to actually kill a unit that turn, take the objective, score 5 and have a real game.

Yep you are correct, Michael was thinking the whole unit had to die not just a model. Would have probably been able to get that battle tactic that turn.

Loving the content, guys. If you dont me giving some feedback on the music: it's very loud. At 11:30 it's just blasting over your casual explanation. I recognize the music and I understand how hard it is to find thematic, royalty free music, but it really takes me out of it. There's a lot of more subtle music out there that I use on my own channel as well, or just turn the volume down a little. It makes it so rough to listen to for me haha, even though I really love the banter, the table, everything else basically. Hope this helps!

I'm cheering for Seraphon because I think they are very much the underdog in this matchup. I feel like the Ossiarch Bonereapers are too strong right now for their cost. Their low speed is often a non-issue as a result of their extra command abilities. Their hammers pull double duty as anvils because *everything* in OBR are anvils, if we're being honest. Great troop replenishment. Difficult to steal objectives from. I'm not sure how they are meant to be played against once they reach the objectives. Even with the Crematorian sub-faction, which was *barely* used against the Seraphon here, they ran away with the game from Round 1. Still, a great battle report. I'm excited for the next one.

I watched until the saurus warriors failed to kill 4 death riders, after that I knew all I needed to. Also i need to go to bed so ill probably finish it tomorrow to see those chargers do something. The krox look so sweet. Such a great job on them, makes me want to buy and play them so bad. But that warscroll is not the best lol. Can't wait to see how the new GHB changes things up. Im looking at building a bunch of chargers and buffing them with hoarfrost while the saurus hold the center.

The Kroxigor warscroll is not the best, Bit to high in points compared to others in the same category. But the models are beautiful and i couldnt wait to get them painted and on the table. I was pleasantly surprised at their damage output, they were debuffed the whole game and were still the hardest hitting unit in my army. i would certainly bring them again.

I appreciate the new batrep! Obr needs all the nerfs. Not every game can be evenly matched but obr just feels way too dominant atm. Especially versus non meta experimental lists. Still fun to just watch yall have fun though! I look forward to the next one!

As an OBR player, I think they will just get pointed up until you are forced to take about 2 viable list archetypes. Once katakros costs what he is worth and the immortis guard/deathriders go up, they will be so elite they will struggle to reach/retain objectives. Charging your entire army into them is not recommended lol, surgical unit removal defensive positioning and early objective control are what beat the bonereapers. Also heavy hitting destruction armies just lift entire units off the board, and you cant resurrect a dead unit, soooo that is a tactic as well.

Great battle report. Man the paint jobs on those kroxigors is insane it just makes you want to play them! Tough matchup I'm not actually sure how this matchup goes the other way, maybe on a battleplan with more objectives spread out and if the OBR player makes the mistake of going out of buff ranges then maybe. Just play starborne and nuke them to oblivion :D

One question. You are getting 8 commad points from relentless discipline but you only have 6 units right? You need 7 units on the battlefield to get 8 but maybe i am missing something?

Don't bolt spitters do mortal wounds on 6s? I think the Bonereapers need a nerd to their save buffs. To hit a unit and do almost nothing with your codex hardest hitting squad, is just a sign of unbalance. To bring things back afterwards is just insult to injury. It doesn't make for fun games.

Bolt spitters need a buff from a priest to do mortals, and even then with their reduced number of shots their output would be very low. Bonereapers are in a very strong position right now. We will have to see what the newest GHB does for nerfs for them.

dam is so sad to see every non kroak list with new book :( gw totally cut off the teeths on every dinosaur with new book, and in contrast starborne kroak list is really strong, why cant gw nerf one and buff the other

@@BattleshockWargaming well i hoped kroak list would get change, but not this change.... it totally deleted kroak spell viability, and whole list with him. it is really hard to say wich list could be good now, i dont want to be a cryer but.... seraphon only had kroak list to be competitive, and even that list was around 7-8 place behind the last books. every non kroak list was useless only able to get 3/2s, now gw buffed points a bit, and sligthy fixed bytes mechanic( still 1" sucks). but coalesced lists are too bad, they may be worth it of 4/1s now, but reaaaally hard to get a 5/0 and they cant play evenly with tomes absurded like vampires zombyes, slanesh,khorne, ko or bonereaper. besides those books? they can have a fun game. coalesced with carno, 2 blocks of 20-30 saurus, is core, maybe 1 slan not sure, and kroxigors are decent now, agradons are still really bad ruleswise and overpriced, but at new points they can be used without being a autolost game. sotek basti at 180p isnt bad neither to tank some units.

Those saves on the Carnosaurs attacks removed any chances of Seraphon winning... You also rolled 2 dices instead of 3 for the jaws the first time

OBR needs a major nerf along with SBG, both of these armies are way overpowered with the wards and the healing/regeneration. Seraphon either needs some major point drops or complete warscroll rewrites which is sad for a coming out with a new book, but they tanked the warscrolls on the new sculpts and the engine is completely unusable. Also, for people who are like seraphon is too OP they need point hikes on Kroak and the Trogolodon, that is literally the only viable list and it gets stomped by at least 1/3 of the other armies in the game.

absolutly perfect coment, 90% of seraphon scrolls are absurded overcosted and book is filled with totally useles rules, like engine. agradons. new bites mechanic etc. only starborn kroak,slan,skink mages, astrolyth list is competitive, and as you said it is still worse than last 5-6 busted books. vampires,ko,khorne,boneriper,slanesh, and a bit of gitz and ogres are too strong too. im so angry for that, i love dinos. is the reason i started seraphons but they are totally useless with new book, and still have to hear every seraphon hater claiming new book is op like always! cry cry

As a Skaven player it is funny to hear Seraphon players saying someone is OP when the old Seraphon book was so good and often OP in the meta. Maybe it is time to step aside as some other armies take your place.

Aggradons have done all the damage in my games so far. Coalesced is designed to grind down not kill so there’s not many hammers.

Michael will eventually cave and buy a bunch of those I'm sure. I am most excited for the Spawn of Chotek, just because the model is gorgeous and can clutch some late game damge when used as a summon. Many more Seraphon battles on the way!!

They can be frustrating for sure. they do just about everything you would want an army to be able to do. But there are a few armies in the game with high enough damage output to get through them but the coalesced are not that army.

The scar vet on aggro is not good. Way too fragile with 8w 4+ save, doesn't do damage, and you get a mediocre once per game buff that will fall off. The ability should have just been a +1 attack aura
