@@BattleshockWargaming Really good battle, the healing on the dragons is a nice counter to this seraphon list, especially when you survive on 1 wound! I havn't ran back the tape but I could swear over 80% of the D3 mortals from Kroak were a 3, I didn't see a 1 at all, crazy dice rolls!

Did the vampire have any serious damage output for t1 though? 14" move with no bonuses isn't even quaranteed t1 charge and killing couple screens isn't much to cheer. Then potential double

You couldn't have known it at the time but had you done Cleanse The Realms in turn 1 you very likely would've killed that 1st zombie dragon with your Saurus, which would've been huge for freeing you up the rest of the game.

Thats a good idea for turn one to try and push that last couple mortals through. I didnt realize at the time that 10 warriors wouldnt have the output to finish off the dragons.

54:04 After asking on multiple forums, and thanks to the french translation of the seraphon book, it appears that you roll a dice for each unit at 12" of all of your nodes. Which is even stronger, you maybe could have killed the other dragons. Also, you should have cleansed on your T1 from the troglodon, you would have killed the blue dragon before he even had a chance to heal 😂

But isn't it possible that the french version is badly translated (it happens often 😅)? For me it's more logical to follow the first official version (English). Anyway I hope they played it the right way because it's sounds really strong if you are right (this list is already pretty strong in my opinion, even if they lost at the end). @@jyx7400 The debate I had were on english forums, but a french player showed me the french version to clarify. I wasnt talking about the number of dice per unit, which is always one even if the unit is in 12" of multiple nodes. I was saying that you should throw a dice for every unit in 12" of all of your nodes, which means if you happen to have multiple nodes on the table, cleanse the realms will deal damage to all units ! I use to think that you can damage unit around one node only, but it seems like you deal damage around all of your nodes. Am I clear enough ?

Deadly terrain doesn't affect deployed units. Just set up. As in units that enter the game after deployment

Deadly states when you set up or move within 1 inch of the terrain you have to roll for deadly. We have interpreted this to mean that deployed units would still have to roll. Can you point us to a rule that says otherwise?

I reread it and learned something. You are right. Core rules say set up is a reserve units during deployment. So i always read that as wording "set up" only reserve units. But in the battleplans. Under deployment. Players take turns alternating deployment. But then says units must be set up wholly within territory. Keyword bingo was getting me. Cheers

I played my first game of AoS last week. My first army is Soulblight Gravelords, and I was playing against Seraphon, funny enough. My opponent got first turn and used an artillery dinosaur to snipe my vampire lord on foot before I ever even got to use him. So I'm very curious to see how you're supposed to play vs dinosaurs.

Hey bud, there are 3 dwarves factions right now, cities have more classic fantasy, Overlords are steam punk pirates and slayers are naked berserkers. Of the 3 dwarf factions the fyreslayers are my favorite. But I think the Seraphon are the way to go, they just got a model refresh and have some of the coolest models in all of warhammer. If you are looking at maybe what models to pickup go checkout one of our more recent videos Seraphon vs Gargants, That list i run is really fun!

I think it absolutely was the correct choice to give Seraphon first. Getting doubled by them would have been too damaging and Soulblight have really good heals now. I've been a Soulblight player since the last book came out. I'm happy with the update. It, like the rest of the battletomes that have been released since december, is way stronger than the previous battletomes though. We haven't had this much powercreep in third edition previously. The difference in power level is significant.

I have a friend who hides Kroak castle in a corner and screens every inch around him. Super unfun to play against. Some armies just cannot deal with the MW spam and just auto lose.

It can be a tough castle to beat, and agreed that there are some armies that cannot deal with it. We try to make lists that compete well with each other to feature some of the more competitive builds that represent tournament style lists. NOT a list you should take to a friendly game haha

Kinda like the dinos for this one, LOB is really good into high rend armies or those that want to get stuck in, but seraphon are a lot more tricksy and just have mortal wound output for days

The rule for hunger states "each time this unit fights" so I did not heal from shooting. I will have to reference Legion of Blood to see if extra attacks apply to missile weapons :) Thanks for watching and commenting!

should be in the battle traits section for legion of blood "If a friendly LEGION OF BLOOD VAMPIRE HERO is within 3" of any enemy units, it is bloodthirsty. If a friendly LEGION OF BLOOD VAMPIRE HERO is more than 3" from all enemy units, it is empowered. Add 1 to the Attacks characteristic of melee weapons used by a unit that is bloodthirsty. Add 1 to casting, dispelling and unbinding rolls for a unit that is empowered."

I'm cheering for the Soulblight Gravelords. I want them strong for my grudge match against them when my Soulblight friend and I get to play AoS again. My Duardin Frostbeards will prevail! Neither side disappointed. Seraphon's mortal wound poke might even be stronger than Tzeentch's. But the Soulblight Gravelords decent toughness and Wound/Troop regeneration overcame the sustained spellcasting damage of the lizardfolk. Well done. I've got a hell of a fight coming for me in the future with my buddy. :D

How did the zombie dragons heal all the way up? The Hunger got changed to max out at 6 wounds. I play SBG so I wanna make sure I'm not missing something.

noticed u applied ur command trait to hit a unit on 2's to a summoned unit of sarus. you select upto D3 units before the 1st battle round that was clutch as u would have missed 2 bites so only dealing 3 wounds not 9 and also not healing for 6. good game otherwise but that was abiggy for flipping the game

This was actually a unit that came from reserve :) the ability dies not specify on the battlefield, so was able to pick them. Apologize for the confusion, because he summoned a few Saurus units as well :)

The mounts were well fed with game because Michael kept throwing waves of saurus warriors at them lol. There were some clutch rolls to keep those dragons alive and causing havoc, otherwise this game could have been very different.

@@sururu6I think you are mistaken. Seraphon was just released and had a whole new model range update so people are still painting and haven’t optimized their lists yet. People have had SBGL painted for many many editions that’s why they are hitting the tabletops faster.

They are both good books, we do not have a clear representation of competitive Seraphon as their actual tome release has not yet happened. That being said, Gravelords are quite good, and could easily have lost without the amazing healing and dice rolls I had. Thanks for watching our channel :)

@@BattleshockWargaming I mean, when you can cast more then 6 spells, 5 out of which you can not dispell, if you are not khorne, than you get enough cpp to bust that d6 mw to everyone in the radius even if troglodon dies you can just teleport as a heroic action without rolling it and still blast everything in sight The point of the game is to be balanced, I can't see how an army like Ironjawz or hedonites or flesheaters can do just anything about this The point being you don't need your opponent doing anything, it is not a punishment for a mistake of some kind, it's just a bucket of mw's and if you don't have any defense, well then too bad picked the wrong army

I just played my first game with soulblight. They are so fun. Loving the vampire lord on zombie dragon.

VLOZD is amazing right now. Damage output is crazy high and their healing just makes them very difficult to shift. The Army as a whole is really fun to play as well lots of skellys running around refusing to die is awesome.
