Thank you for this! So hard to find content for the Sylvaneth. They're the most appealing army to me aesthetically and I already dumped a bunch of time into painting mine lol. I also don't really mind being an underdog.

Somehow I missed this video, very well done. I bought 2000 points of Sylvaneth and I'm really hoping they get a new book this year. You are right on I think about Alarielle, 400 points sounds much better. Love the models though, that's why I wanted to get them :D

I'm curious on your thoughts on this because I am looking at this as someone who is looking buy into Sylvaneth once the stores open back up. But 400 points seems way too low when you consider that you get 200 points of free models to summon in. Even if you have to do it early in the battle, it's still models that are included as part of her cost and a big part of the reason she is 600 pts. If you remove the summon ability from her rules, then 400 points seems fine. Compared to the Spirit of Durthu at 300 or Treelord Ancient at 260, even at 400 without the summon she would still compare reasonably well. But 400 points as is just seems absurdly broken atleast compared to the other offerings within the army since you are arguing at that point that she should effectively be 200 points. Mind you I'm not a tournament grinder so my scale of what points values are good or not may be off. But that's why I'm atleast trying to compare between entries in the same book and then from there it can be argued if Sylvaneth as a whole need tweeking separately. EDIT: Still a great video :)

I played a 1000 point game with Sylvaneth last week. It was a matched play game using the Generals Handbook 2021. So I was playing Nighthaunt vs my Sylvaneth. 10 VP's at the end of battle, 1 or 2 for each of my objectives, VP because Durthu went on a spree with his big sword. Tree revenants became a nuisance but snaffled an objective with some clever teleporting. At 1000 point they seemed to be underpowered. (Yes I won but I was not balanced in my build.) With no Branchwraith I could only run one line of dryads. There seems to be some nice free army units when you get a good 2000 point army. Especially given the rules for summoning not counting the models you summon as part of your 2k spend. The new 3.0 battalion rules add a nice spell enhancement. With the right battalion wizards get to choose 2 spells from the lore book instead of one. With the right enhancement and build, you can take every spell from the Sylvaneth magic lore on your wizards. Very good for the Warsong Revenant. Nice one for the video.

I'm very new to Age of Sigmar. But I'm playing with a friend, who have played Soulblight and I Sylvaneth. I've devestated him both times. Both times taking his special units and generals down in a single round of combat. Yet I see everyone on the internet go "Herp Derp Sylvaneth bad." So what am I missing?? Why are they bad? I think all the buffs around the Awakened Wyldwood is awesome and with Spirit of Durthu, who can deal 6 dmg per hit and gets 5 hits, when his close to wyldwood.... Like that's insane. Put him behind some cover, so that ranged can't hurt him and then watch the carnage when the enemy comes close :D

Question :) Can you stop Nurgle Corruption? Can they like, kill My units and Destroy my Awakend Wild Woods?🌲 Basically, I play Sylvaneth and he plays these Plague Bearer Nurgle Thingys and I want to destroy his army. Thanks so much if you answer my question!
