I know I'm a lil late to the game, but I kinda figured once I started playing I'd be hooked so I waited and then got lucky with a steam sale. Anyway, I almost didn't click on the video because of the length. Stupid. Because I don't like the "Tips" videos where the hosts are so rushed they blow thru the content and don't give any real insight into why they do certain moves. You have a nice chill/relaxed tone and do a great job of explaining the benefits of the decisions you make. Really helpful! Thank you!

Hey great video man, very articulate and easy to follow! Makes me want to play this on Xbox! But I think I'm gonna go with Planetfall just because I played a dozen or so hours of that years ago. It was pretty overwhelming at first ofc, but I definitely enjoyed my time with it.

Love the content man been watching since pf came out. Glad you got early access, eager to get in game myself! Any word on how easy it is to recruit dwelling-like units like the naga or archons in aow3?

Ancient wonders give access to powerful units through rally the lieges, and I think having vassal cities allows that mechanic to happen more often. Typically the hard the AW is to clear, the better the rally of lieges units you get. Although takign wonderous architects allowed me to get an early t3 fairy in my stream yesterday. If you want units immediately, you can hire heroes to go over your cap if you have a large gold stockpile and your capital is about to be attacked

Fantastic stuff! I want to know more about why building cities earlier. Why the 3 province spread instead of finding more optimal areas w better provinces / wonders around it?

More cities means they have more time to grow and become useful, and you'll have a better economy to support your army's upkeep and to make good units. 3 provinces apart means our armies can defend the cities more easily with less units before the cities get sieged down or attacked by infestations

@@WinSlayaGaming the cities automatically come with sone baseline food, imperium, knowledge etc. income anyways so that makes a ton of sense. The city spacing might also depend then on fortifications and immediate threats? I’m coming from an optimal economic build perspective and worried overlapping might limit province annexation options / specialization.

Hey! Ive been playing this game and loving it. Finally finished a game with my friend, 18v18 and he casted Disruption Wave. Removed all enchantments and buffs and my army that had higher CP then his crumbled. Is that spell OP? Any way to counter it? What about casting when your hero is dead?

great question! I have not played much of the late game yet, so I have not seen that spell yet. Sounds incredibly powerful, and I think a spell jammer would have stopped him from casting that while in the domain of a city with the spell jammer. I'm not sure if there is a counter if you are going on the offense and are in his territory. I'll ask some people and see what their thoughts are

Not sure if this is the best place to ask but is there any vampiric stuff in this game? I've looked at the main races and I know that sadly there isn't a vampire race, but I'm hoping maybe you could turn a race into vampire through the transformations and whatnot.

There is life steal and demonic units, so I think vampire-esque like transformations are in game, but I don't think I have seen one yet

Great question! It is a high culture spell, so you get it by picking the high culture start (sometimes you start with it on turn 1, other times you have to research it). You can see it in the tomes if you look at the culture tomes.

Ranged Spider Riders is an obvious combination, immobilize enemy with Web, using one Spider Rider Unit, and Focus Fire, next turn use Web with another unit, repeat till there are no enemies. A terrifying way to die for the enemy.
