As a hungarian it is also a struggle for me to stay in hungary to try to make things better and promote change in the good direction or just leave this toxic and sick society and culture in order to save my health. What I learned is that I need to prioritize my own needs and until those needs are sufficiently met I cannot really help others to feel or to understand the situation better. I want to encourage you to deal with anxiety otherwise it will be much worse later on at least in my experience.

Funnily enough, I'm a Geotechnical Engineer from India. I had a job in the UK which paid almost 3x what I get in India but I still decided to come back to my motherland! The life in India will always be much better than anywhere in the world. I have family, friends, relatives here who make living life infinitely better than being in a country 7000 miles away. Just like India, Russia is traditional and by looking at your video it seems like a lovely place to live. Especially loved your babushka's little village.

Ilya Yashin was sentenced to eight years and six months in prison by a Moscow court for the crime of talking about the Bucha Massacre on his KZbin channel. If your boyfriend is unable to leave because he doesn't have a passport or something, or if you guys are confident that he won't be drafted, or if you are not confident but willing to risk it anyway, then you are totally doing the right thing. It sounds like you already know this in your soul, so save a little money, some bottled water, some food (in case the taxi driver is right and things get really bad), and beyond that, enjoy your life in each moment, just as you have planned. I used to work with an old man from Krasnodar. He loved that city but left because the 90s sucked, and then he just stayed here (America) even after things got better in Russia because he loved it here, too. Anyway, I thought of him of course as soon as you said you moved to Krasnodar. Good luck in your new city!

It's always good to hear from our favourite Russian agent. You are right, we must always live in the present, it's the only time we have any control over, and do what we can to make things better. It's just a shame that governments from all sides can't move on from the old antagonisms and co-operate on solving some of the world's bigger issues. I’m many years moved away from the teens…I could have been a teen twice over and still have more years! I 100% agree with “we must live in the present”. As I’ve gotten older I realized I could have done so much more when I was younger but I always said to myself “I’ll do it later”. Now, there are exceptions such as doing things now that will negatively hurt you later but for the most part, it’s sound strategy. That’s why I’m getting my nieces and nephews to travel to other countries now that they are past high school because I didn’t discover traveling until my late 20’s and missed out on a lot.

Hi, I am from South Africa and I know how you feel. In South Africa lots and lots of young people have also left South Africa because of the high crime rate (in certain parts of our country, your life is in constant danger) and our totally corrupt government. I for one, have decided to stay. I have been to many countries USA included and I have found that my roots are here and life isn't as bad as a lot of people have made it out to be. So I am glad you are back and I love your quirky humour.

South Africa is screwed up, the religious fundamentalism empowers the economic dominant community to still keep the majority in poverty. I lived there, my friends had two and more houses, most people only had a shack. The racism is toxic. Now Ramaposa is embracing the Russians and it follows the war in Ukraine. I am done with SA.

Sometimes facing a situation directly is easier than staying away but still having to deal with that situation. - maybe that’s what you did here. Staying or leaving? Well - depends on how much someone thinks he can change something. Sometimes one needs to save oneself. When one’s love is just one sided and it’s not possible to change something it’s probably better to leave for good.

We have an expression... "If you can't change the people, change the people" it means that if your friends or employees have bad behavior and they refuse to change then you need to exchange them for different people. Sometimes trying to force people (or a country) to change, is just a waste of time... and it can become dangerous if you try too hard. Please be smart/ safe!

Longer videos are completely fine. I had some customers who required max lengths of 60 seconds, because "people will not watch it otherwise". That might be true for Instagram and Tiktok, but it's a different story on KZbin. I usually prefer videos of 15 minutes, because I'm too lazy to select a new one every 3 minutes 😂 After 15 minutes, they tend to get boring though.

In my other comment I said most Russians should stay but it’s very understandable that they leave, especially men 18-40. Staying behind to be the change is patriotic but I do worry for your safety. I think if you are safe and you can move forward with your life in Ru it is a very honorable thing to stay and and try to change things. However, if you feel unsafe or you feel that you are unable to accomplish your goals you could then consider a plan to leave,

Nesty!I hope this war ends and we all can get back to living.I have always wanted to visit Russia and hope to someday after this twisted war.I am learning the Russian language and alphabet.Most videos of Russia are positive,however no place is perfect,lol,especially in the West.I like the pictures of your countryside.America is beautiful,however can be very toxic.Nesty I pray for you and thanks for your content.Stay beautiful and safe,Robert.

Hello Agent Nesty, about whether staying or leaving in a situation like yours, I think it is well imaginable that the change might be comming outside of Russia. For example there are lots of journalists in Georgia as you pointed out, but many good people from Russia are also to be found in Finnland or the Baltic Countries. Also the Ukranian Army has a russian legion called "Swoboda Rossi" (did i spell it right?) where Russians can join, even if they are captured. And maybe one day they will go back to Russia. But on the other hand for someone living in the "West" (as if world wasn't round) it is extremely valuable to have information from someone from within Russia.
