So the girls in their season have to fight the monsters and protect possible suitors. (it's revealed that the women being turned into monsters isn't natural but actually a curse inflicted on the land by a bitter socerer after his love match failed so spectacularly when his fiancée broke his heart and fled the land with her lover. how the magical debutantes solve their problems and potentially break the curse is up to them.

Ah yes, these are the Ladies of Love, Light, Life, and Luck. Each gives advice to their speciality, but they say it is impossible to truly win their favor. They can often be found at various balls and garden parties, although it is rumored they will appear anywhere their favorite tea is poured. Lady Love in roses, uses her tarot cards to find matches. Lady Light in blue, uses a crystal ball to find what will bring inspiration to "light" up someone's life. Lady Life with butterfly wings, reads palms to guide others. Lady Luck in green reads tea leaves to help others find their fortune.

What I imagine these ladies stories are is basically the Ever After High show but they don’t follow their parents stories, and it’s a debutante ball. The girls are struggling with social expectations and their parents legacies, and also have powers based on their fairytales! The butterfly girl is the daughter of the Fairygodmother; she can grant wishes that only last 12 hours, Rose girl is the daughter of sleeping beauty and she can cause roses to grow. Blue lady is ofc Cinderellas daughter and her ability is talking to animals, and green lady is the daughter of the Frog Prince-she can turn into a frog but refuses to use her ability as it embarrasses her.

I don't know why I've never heard anyone refer to Bridgerton's costume vibe as "Regency Glam" because that is absolutely the perfect descriptor of the Bridgerton's Aesthetic. I think with all the different time period inspo in these, what if they were accidental time/dimension traveling from their respective time periods into a Fantasy Nonsense Universe that Fantasti-fies their "historically accurate" clothing into the appropriate Fantasy Nonsense Dresses? Like a Kingdom Hearts situation. They're not really a team, just a group and they have to figure out a way to get back to their respective homes. The second girl's expression gives me Mai from ATLA vibes.

So my brain made a headcannon for this before I could help it so here we are: each tea set represents a wealthy/ noble family similar to the Bridgertons and the Featheringtons if you will with each having their own colour scheme/ silhouettes. The characters you drew are part of a friend group that spend their time gossiping and going on balls together. Each of the characters obvi have their own hobbies and styles but their group shares the pressure to marry soon and secure as good a match as possible so they're each others wing women who like vibe check potential suitors for each other and generally hype each other up. Mayhaps there happens to be some mysterious new person joining society one season or they have to solve someone's mysterious disappearance (Marina Thompson style?) or fall from grace. They could also be some secret occultist group that meets up for seances every now and then kind of how later on in the 19th century the upper classes of society got obsessed with occultism and the likes. I could also picture some sort of Beauty and the Beast-esque situation where there's a ball and these mysterious women that nobodys ever seen before appear to dance and mingle only to then vanish Cinderella style at the end of the evening to either never be seen again or only reappear to other balls and festivities. Bonus points if someday one of them fails to turn human and the others have to find out what happened within that night only to find the shattered teapot remains or maybe someone stole the pot from the castle? Anyway there's lots of girlpower potential.. As always I adore your style. Thank you for scratching that itch in my brain, I feel very inspired rn. ^^

I feel like for lore/ story wise (my opinion lol) I feel like these characters are all apart of a romantic action fantasy game, or more aptly like so many webtoon these girls were all friends in the real world and got sucked into/ stuck in/ isakaied into a game/story called tea time in fantasia. Which is a magical semi historical fiction... if it were a game it'd be one of those romance games with the dancing fighting mini games, and if it were a story it'd be a fantasy romance. The first girl looks like a lucinda to me, so that's what I'll call her. Lucinda is the bubbly best friend archetype. She's honest and caring but can be overbearing with her good intentions. She's also just a tad wide-eyed and ditsy. Her power is the most obvious of the bunch. Butterfly wings The second girl I'll call sophie/ Sophia, she is the group mom, keeping the other girls out of trouble, covering for them. Very well respected in high society. Her power being plant control The third girl looks like a Lana to me, and so a Lana she shall be. She's soft spoken and very elegant, eloquently spoken. Think like.... mace windu's personality. Stead fast, justice drivin' scholarly and can seem standofish but is actually a genuine sweetheart. celestial powers. MacKenzie is the final ones name for me. The matriarch. Where sophie/ Sophia is the mom friend. MacKenzie is the highest ranking woman among the group. She's cool calm and collected almost all the time. Unlike Lana she speaks loud and clear. Never allowing her voice to be lost in a crowd. Her power is probably the least obvious, but like maleficent she can shape shift into a giant green, white, black, and gold dragon.

these designs are so beautiful! these characters give the vibe of a historical fantasy where they're distantly related to fae. like they know about magical creatures but are basically human so they dress in more fantastical ways in an attempt to show off/connect to their magical history. and then maybe one of the girls actually finds and learns how to use magic. I'll give my ideas of each character in another comment.

green butterfly- she definitely gives main character energy. she'd be somewhat of an outcast in society as she sees through their superficial obsession with magic. i can see her being somewhat of a detective type character as she'd use her new found powers to uncover evil schemes and making sure magic doesn't get into the wrong hands. black rose- she seems like a foil to green butterfly. like she knows how to act to fit into society but is still angsty and feels like a black sheep. she would probably get a hold of how to use magic and try to use it for her own benefit but would not be the big bad. butterfly and rose would probably work together at some point. blue iridescent- she definitely gives off member of the royal family but maybe married into it. she's like the young queen or the crown princess that has to gain the favor of the rest of the royal family and the public. She’d be very smart and kindhearted but has to be cunning in order to survive the royal court. glass shamrock- she gives being involved in religion, education or history, like a head priestess. idk what exactly this world would believe in but it would probably have something to do with faes and magic. I feel like she'd be very stressed and annoyed having to deal with nobles interested in magic for mostly selfish and trivial reasons.

IDEA FOR STORY- group of sisters from regency era are from a rich family and are forced into marriage. This disastrous circumstance prompts them to run away into the woods…and plan their escape. While bonding being sisterly in the woods they discover a magic fairy tea party set thingy. They obviously drink the tea being the proper ladies they are, and it shrinks them to the size of bugs, (and changes their clothes and all that) while stuck in the size they are they discover mini world full of fairy people I guess. So they ask the leader for help to return to their world and try and find a cure for their “curse” but a time rolls on the choice to leave the world becomes harder to make as they think of what they will face in the real world. The idea isn’t very original but I think it really fits the characters designs!!!

When you talked about fairies, all I could think of was them being a kind of winx from the medieval era🤣, the 1st being able to control insects and butterflies, the 2nd having the ability to control roses and perhaps trapping enemies in rose bush cages, the 3rd controls water and 4th would have a more "witchy" power making potions with plants.

Thinking of the magical girls who drink tea to transform... Different teas, different powers: This would be their Earl Grey form, their black tea form would be more simple/short. Mint tea for ice powers, green tea for plant powers, ginger tea for healing powers, cinnamon or something for fire? All with small variations in the outfits, of course. And maybe a small elephant companion that brings them the tea fitting for the task on hand (elephant, because they are already linked to teapots)

blue is my favorite. just stunning and gorgeous. so cohesive and a wonderful translation. green is my second favorite. she looks like a fantasy space princess and shes precious to me. i do like the dress of the butterfly one and her hair, but the straight up wings are too much for me. i think she’d be better without it. shes still cute tho. rose girl is cute as well. i do miss the windows on her dress, but it’s still nice. i think her hair + accessories and her sleeves have to be my favorite parts of her design. something about those do feel very met gala/ extravagant fantasy princess. perfection. fun video as always, thanks for sharing your art :) 💙💛💚

the thing is, bridgerton was already historical fantasy, they had established a really nice blend of the two, its just jarring that now they suddenly choose to crank up the fantasy aspect to 70% instead of 50. The previous style was kind of their brand imo, and i really liked how much they stuck to the regency vibes while using more modern aspects to add to that, now it feels more like its fantasy first, and the history is the add on. (Im not mad about it or anything I just really needed to get this off my chest lol)

1st Her face is SO cute, love the soft shape language pulled in from the butterfly wings. For my story for these four, I think all are princesses who act as ambassadors for their respective kingdoms. It's a realm of fantasy, so each kingdom specializes in one kind of magic. Being royalty, each has learned plenty. However, at a meeting of ambassadors, something goes wrong (maybe there's an assassin or one kingdom wants to take over the others, something like that), and these four must band together to resolve the problem. As for their powers, the first has flight (and maybe to have her be on par with the rest, she can also shape shift). The second has plant magic (but prefers to use roses for the aesthetic). The third has light powers (as her design reminds me of the night sky or an aurora). The fourth has luck powers (which basically blesses or curses people with good or bad luck, respectively). After this issue, they have bonded and now go to visit one another (where further adventures can take place).
