Yay for the full episode! It seems so simple, and yet...another easy fix. She just didn't understand to not get the dog excited with tone of voice and excited actions. Just relax and be in the flow. I remember a few older stories of Cesar's where he taught (or said,) "You have to believe it to see it." (NOT see it to believe it.) So many people are reactive instead of faith/belief/calm/flow.

I wish Cesar would come to Scotland, where I live, I have tried all Cesar's advice and implimented it every single day, but STILL our dog pulls on his leash and wants to go for every single dog we pass on our walks! Sounds like a very easy case, I have 2 huskies and a German shepherd. I do bikejoring with the huskies, they love to pull, but when I put the leash on then, they know to stay by my side. When you walk the dog, change directions without saying anything, pull the dog hard, so they know if they are not paying attention, you are gonna pull hard, and give them a treat when they are paying attention to you.

@@lynnegoss3277 Hi Lynn, thanks so much for replying. Yes, I wait till I know he is listening to me. I have literally done everything I can think of. Sometmes our hour walk in the morning takes us 2 hours due to all the stopping and starting we do. He is not human aggressive, just dog.

BUT maybe give that another try. We have also tried the treat approach and again works for like 5 minutes and reverts back. Thank you so much for your advice. I really appreciate it.

I'm a Cesar fan, but just a word of advice. There are THOUSANDS of balanced dog trainers in the US that can really WOW you in correcting unwanted behaviors. THOUSANDS. The key word is BALANCED, not positive-only or force-free. BUT, the BEST of these will tell you that their expertise is training family pet dogs, they will stay in their wheelhouse, and will admit that their expertise is NOT picking breed, and it's especially not picking the best for an owner out a litter. That is a COMPLETELY different skillset. It's just like trainers that specialize in protection training, or tricks, or agility training. They are COMPLETELY different. You should seek an expert in what you are trying to accomplish. Cesar is great at behavior modification with family pet dogs, but I assure you, he is not the best to train a bird hunting dog. The same goes for selecting breed and picking out of a litter.

I took care of someone's male German Shepherd for a few weeks whilst waiting for him to be rehomed. He was far worse than this, I tried EVERYTHING. I could never break his focus on whatever he was set on. It was horrible because he was completely different with me in the house, he really loved me but he was a total demon. He was taught to be that way sadly

OK, first, I really like Cesar, but his 1st language is not English and it gets in the way of really communicated dog training concepts. What he gets right.... a HUGE portion of dog training problems stem from people treating their dogs like people instead of dogs, when you realize that 99.9% of the DNA of your domestic dog is in common with savage wolves. Picture yourself as the leader of a wolf pack. Let that sink in. Would you be pouring such affection onto the members of your pack? Would you hesitate for a split second to correct/discipline members of the pack when they do things that you don't like or when they don't listen to you? Would you be worried about "ruining your relationship" with the dog? Here's a hint.... In the mind of the dog, they just want to be a member of a pack with a STONG pack leader that provides food, shelter and protection. That is their most PRIMAL need. Do you love your dog to treat them as THEY want and need to be treated instead of the way that makes you feel good? If so, then, fulfill THAT need!! You will see a MASSIVE difference when you consistently enforce discipline, structure, boundaries,, limitations with much less HUMAN compassion and affection.

@samwdavis that truly helps me. I normally do rescued vs new born. Also I usually get big dogs, mine usually end up being almost just like a service dog. I have a lot of health problems and they all just take to me, somehow I ended up with a yorkshire terrier

This is the best advice that you will receive for FAST and EFFECTIVE results. MAKE IT SUCK to be aggressive. That may be a leash correction, or a bonker, or a high-level eCollar correction, but MAKE IT SUCK. It will stop. Orrr... you can take the positive-only force-free approach, and be struggling with this same issue 5 years from now.

I want to teach him is behaviour, and etc while I'm full time on my chair, he knows his training so far how to sit, how to wait when his food been presented to him. he learning how to wait before we leave for his walks by the door, so I was using harnest and it showed me how it makes him pull and now i got a new leash that goes around up his neck and my friend son took him to try and said that a better leash to put his head up instead on the ground, and I got thise idea of one of Cesars puppy training video,

That horrible collar again. What gets me is the owner of the dog behind the fence does nothing to ensure their dog is under control as well. As neighbours of people owning dogs, they should not have to put up with constant barking and aggression through the fence. If that dog got out it would be carnage. Everyone with a dog should take responsibility for them,on the street or at home. You don’t give up your pack leader at home.

NO!!! There are dogs that are just naturally submissive and cause very little problem for owners that understand very little about dog psychology, and there are dogs that even under the VERY BEST of hands, should NOT be walking the face of the earth because of genetic issues. I realize that I'm addressing the extremes of the bell curve. 90% of dogs could be MUCH better of their owners better understood dog behavior.

I always put myself between the dog I'm walking & other dogs. If you present yourself as an authority figure, standing on the other side distracts your dog's attention away from the other dog & reduces tension. Perhaps the dog might also think it is protecting you if you are standing in-between.

Hello mister Cesar Millan, this probably is not the place but I'm not sure where else to ask. I've seen that Dog Whisperer (youtube channel) has been uploading a lot episodes. I understand that they're an official channel but I was wondering if any of the revenue being generated from it is finding its way to you? I would like to make an informed decision on whether or not to continue watching that channel, based on if you are benefiting from it.
